1900 Mexican Grill & Tequila Bar is a total hidden gem! The atmosphere feels upscale and stylish, but still warm and welcoming. The service was absolutely incredible — attentive, friendly, and on point from start to finish.
The Alambre chicken quesadilla was recommended to me and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Others in my party had the steak quesadilla and the enchiladas, and everything was delicious. They also have a huge tequila selection and amazing craft tacos.
We will definitely be back!

A couple weeks ago We ordered catering for 25 people for a corporate event. We ordered the fajitas and the food was excellent. Everybody in the office raved about it. The chicken, the onions, the peppers, the rice, the beans all of the trimmings along with the queso dip was delicious. Picking it up was a breeze. The food was ready when I got there. They were very helpful and loading up the car, providing me with the utensils and the plates. It was very reasonably priced. We will definitely use them again for future catering events.

This is authentic neighborhood restaurant that’s been there forever! They make you feel like family whenever you walk in. It’s my go to spot for a solo dinner at the bar or ton of friends gathering. Maria is always fabulous and takes care of us! I will never forget the moment we walked in after a celebration of life and treated us to dinner and made out night so much better! I’ve visited Charlotte plenty of times and tried several Mexican restaurants. This is the only place in my opinion that has stood out from the crowd and our favourite to visit.
The atmosphere is chilled with mild back ground music that you can still have a conversation. Friendly smiles when welcomed and the wait staff can’t do enough for you.
The food we ordered was so tasty, fresh chips and salsa on arrival too with plenty of refills!
I asked for a side of fries when the food arrived and was pleasantly surprised they were made fresh with real potato, very nostalgic and made me reminisce of my childhood.
Will certainly be back when I emigrate to charlotte in the near future!

We went about 130 on Wednesday for a late lunch. All the booths were taken and we waited maybe a minute until someone came out of the kitchen to seat us. Didnt see her again for maybe 5 minutes. When she came back she asked if we wanted an appetizer, we ordered chips and guacamole and that was it. When that came out she finally asked us for drinks. There seemed to be only two waitresses working and they must have been cooking as well. Our waitress was nice but you could tell she was running trying to do everything. Once again did not like the ACP. Just melted on cheese on dry mexican rice this time. The Guacamole was good, just a little to much lime. My wife had to send her enchiladas back as she requested no onions, but she did like it.

We love taking our 1.5 year old boy here! The food is always solid, pretty quick service, and it’s okay if he gets a little bit boisterous. Bonus that we can run to Harris Teeter next door for any last minute needs if needed. Special shoutout to the server Eric who our son loves! The service was good, very nice. The food was not good, though. I’ve been to the other location many times, but we’ve come to this location the last two times we’ve gone. The food was really good the first time. Not so much this time. My problem is that there was something wrong with the steak. It was very fatty and had a different taste. My dining partner tried some of the steak and said it tasted bad, but it was too late to stop eating because I’d already finished it all. Ever since I ate that steak, I have been very sick. This was over 24 hours ago. There was definitely something wrong with it, which would explain that “off” flavor. If we go back, it won’t be to this location. I’ve never been sick after eating at the other location.

I’ve had lunch at 1900 Mexican Grill several times and have never been disappointed; the young waitress named Anna always greets us with a smile. Ask for her; she’s very friendly and attentive, and provides excellent service, making every visit a real pleasure.
