Me and the husband went here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how nice the restaurant was. I really wish we had worn something more dressy than track pants and tshirts. The food was absolutely amazing we tried chili paneer for the first time and it is now a family favorite! The portion was huge for an appetizer so we took some home and the kids tried and loved it. I had butter chicken it was rich and with deep warm spices that blended together amazingly. The staff was also super nice and answered my questions about the food. They have a mint sauce that I’d never tried before and I wanted to know what it was called the owner came out and spoke with us about how it and the chili paneer were made in-house, explaining how he gets the ingredients for them. Stop by today based on some photos I viewed on Facebook page and the buffet. It was delicious! They had an amazing vegetarian buffet and regular buffet. We got to meet one of the owners and he explained how they make everything fresh in the kitchen and you can even smell all the spices. Not to mention clean restrooms! Thank you Aaku for sharing with me what each dish was.

My husband and I have had this place on our list for a while now and tonight we decided to give them a try. This place is super cute for a date night!! The food and service was A1. Everything came out hot and fresh and the owner even came at the end to thank us for trying his place out. We were so happy to try this place out bc nowadays it’s so hard to find a nice place with good food and service that’s reasonably priced. We ordered a mango lassi & lamb samosas for the appetizers. The mango lassi was a bit too creamy for my liking but it was good overall!! For our entrees we ordered the rack of lamb with potatoes and chicken tikka masala with rice. The food was full of flavor and had a great portion size as well!! Lastly the customer service was excellent!!! We will definitely be BACK!!!!

Let me get in with the description of Gurkhaas’s ambience- it’s cozy and welcoming! I usually place order for take out,it has been always nice, but today’s dine-in experience was out of the world, excellent service! Regarding the quality of food, all the food came out hot and full of authentic aroma, their naan was the best, well cooked and soft, loved the vibes and had a great moment!
Don’t forget to try Mo:Mo, (the original version of dumplings)that’s the identity of Nepalese cuisine!

Great food, we had the jackfruit curry and chicken kadai. Yummy! A little salty but goes well with their garlic naan. Aaku, our server was so friendly and helpful. We had no idea what to order and she was so delightful. I gave three stars for the atmosphere only because there were kids out of control. Parents’ fault more so than the restaurant. Will definitely come back!

Everything was delicious! Spicy levels are on point. So if you like spicy medium or spicy are quite hot, if you don’t, get mild. The Biriyani was delicious and the mixed grill was too! A lot of food for both for the price. The pictures were half gone. This place is also very nice inside. The ambiance is great for date night! The staff were all extremely nice as well. We will be coming back.

We had a great meal. The lamb tikka masala was very tasty and warm. The portions were good and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very calm and elegant. Our server, Kazzu, was attentive. They were very accommodating for my allergy.

I’m really happy Gurkhaas opened in Pearland, and I’ve been a repeat customer because the food is usually excellent. I almost always order the lamb chops, chicken tikka masala, daal makhani, and garlic naan, and most of the time it’s a 10/10 experience.
Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing. Instead of the usual fluffy, hot garlic naan, I received naan that tasted and looked like it was made with whole wheat/roti atta. When I called, I was told something was wrong with the flour, which made me wonder why the naan (and even the cheese naan for my child) was sent out in the first place if the issue was noticeable. I was offered a replacement, but I couldn’t come back out since I was already home with my toddler.
Additionally, this is the second time my chicken tikka masala has looked and tasted more like butter chicken, which has been confusing since I order these dishes regularly and know the difference.
I’m sharing this because I genuinely like this restaurant and want to see it stay consistent with the quality it’s known for. I hope this feedback helps improve quality control moving forward. I’ll still give them another try and hope this was just an off day

I’ve been here a few times for lunch (dine-in or take out) & always had a pleasant experience each time. The staff are really nice & friendly. The food is excellent hands down, which is why I keep coming back. They offer a buffet now so it’s great to get to try out all of their other dishes. Most of their chicken dishes are plump & juicy.
