Waited at the bar at Juan’s Rooftop for over 30 minutes while bartenders made direct eye contact with us and still ignored us. The place wasn’t even busy, which made it even more frustrating. To make matters worse, they served multiple people who walked up to the bar after us while we were still standing there waiting. Not a greeting, not a “be with you in a minute,” nothing. After being ignored that long, we ended up leaving. I’m more than happy to take my money somewhere else where the staff is attentive and the drinks are actually worth ordering.

I have been wanting to go to Juan’s for a while. Every year they have igloos on the rooftop that you can reserve. It is a 50 dollar reservation and you have to spend 150 on food and drinks so I wanted to split that with other adults but never could find any who wanted to go. I caved this year and took my kids. 10/10 would recommend to everyone. The igloos were absolutely beautiful inside and out. They had a Bluetooth speaker so the kids listened to their music and hung out. Most of my pics inside the igloo have my kids in it so I do not want to post those. The food was amazing. The server was absolutely amazing as well. He was very tentative to us. I felt horrible he had to be out in the cold to take care of us so I tipped him a nice bit extra on top of the gratuity they already included in the bill. The drinks were on point. I am already trying to figure out when I can take the kids again.

Great place the have drink and good food. Service was great and food came out quick. Food was delicious and the amount of food was great. I do suggest getting Birra egg rolls nice little twist from the Birra tacos.

If I could give this place a ZERO, for how they handled the miscommunication that they took part in, I completely would. My boyfriend made a reservation for an Igloo date on the website submitting a form. No where in their website does it EVER state, that Igloo reservations are completely separate and/ or had nothing to do with the Igloo booking. My boyfriend called before hand to check on our reservation and make sure everything was good to go, to which the gentleman on the phone said “yes sir, we have your reservation”. Time for the reservation comes, we sit down. Everything is super pretty, but our server is taking a while to come back out. Long story shorter, the gentleman on the phone completely either misunderstood my boyfriend on the phone or was just not simply paying attention and we had no reservation or resolution to the matter. I also would hate to think this way. But I also felt very discriminated against because my boyfriend is a black male. I feel like if I would’ve spoke Spanish which I most definitely do as a Puerto Rican woman, they would’ve treated us better. Their website needs work, and so does their customer service.

A beautiful date night under the igloo. The roof top holds two large see-through igloos with plenty of seating for 10-14 people. The chandelier adds to the ambiance; nice decor for any season of the year. I love that we could play our own music by pairing our phone to their speaker. The drinks were delish! Everything we ordered was well seasoned and prepared. The staff was kind and always zipped the dome door back as they stepped in and out. The small heater took a while to warm up the space, but it did its job in the end. The food and drinks were reasonably priced for the portions. I will be visiting again soon !

Stopped here to grab a bite to eat while in RVA. They just so happened to be having a Taco and Margarita Fest. Super Fun rooftop bar with DJ. And did I mention the Tacos!! OMG!! The Brisket taco with those pickled onions …. I need the recipe. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and food. Next time I’m in town, I will definitely return.

Not worth coming on a Saturday if you don’t plan on getting a hookah or table. Doors open at 9 but waited over an hour to get in. When we asked the gentlemen what the wait was for he said “ waiting for tables” was not booked and busy. Seems like they wanted to make their premium for the night before letting people in. Good for business not so good for the people looking for casual fun.

Great location. Decent vibe with a DJ. Cool ambiance. The rooftop was nice. No umbrellas to keep you shaded. No TVs either in the event you wanted to watch a game at the bar on the roof.
Food was mediocre. Ordered the wings and nachos. It was 50 cent wing night, so I decided to try. I’ve had better wings elsewhere. The nachos were disappointing. I expected better from a Mexican restaurant.
Drinks were decent. Ordered the margaritas, mimosa, and a Cuba Libre.
Service was slow and at times unattentive.
I may or may not give them a second chance.

Well first I would like to say Management was amazing when it came to handling our issues. The waitress hygiene was very disturbing that’s the polite way for me to put it. The drinks were okay my wife had a frozen strawberry margarita that she could only get with well tequila for some reason. We ordered three appetizers the fresh guacamole that was supposed to be made table side but wasn’t and it was extremely salty, the fundido(queso) definitely wasn’t what we were expecting but the manager explained to us they make it the “traditional” way, I wanted the seafood empanadas but they had ran out it wasn’t even 7pm yet so I ended up getting the sweet chili wings that were actually the best thing I ate. We then ordered two entrees the pancho carnitas that was fried pork it was tough and bland and the dish itself did not look appetizing. I ordered the shrimp tacos that came with a creamy jalapeño coleslaw cause I figured how could mess that up?! Wrong the coleslaw and the tacos were bland and as I got to the second taco it started tasting weird as if the shrimp may have been bad but that’ll be a find out later thing. All in all this could be a great place with a little work especially on the food.

I was disappointed with my experience at the Juan’s. While the ambiance and drinks were good, the food was subpar. I’ve never been to a Mexican restaurant that messes up queso like this one did. It looked like it came straight out of a microwave oven and was as runny as milk and tasted disgusting. The corn on the cob was another disappointment, the sauce it was slathered in wasn’t appealing. The fish tacos were bland and lacked any flavor. The quesadilla had a literal ton of cheese dumped in it, which was overwhelming.
The only thing I liked was the chips, guacamole, and salsa, which were decent. I was disappointed that the restaurant couldn’t deliver on its core offerings, which is Mexican food. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Mexican food.
If you’re looking for a good Mexican restaurant, there are plenty of other options out there that will deliver on both atmosphere and food quality.
