We stopped by this cozy café and had a really pleasant experience. The lady at the register was very nice and took the time to explain everything to us. The sirniki were absolutely delicious — soft, fresh, and perfectly made. The mousse, however, wasn’t quite as good and could be improved. The interior has a lovely European vibe, very charming and welcoming. Overall, a nice place to relax and enjoy a treat.

Chant’el Cafe is such a lovely spot! The food was flavorful and beautifully presented, and the interior is stunning bright, stylish, and relaxing. The Tropic Mousse dessert stood out the most perfectly tropical and incredibly delicious! The service was excellent, and everyone on the staff was kind and attentive. This place truly made my day!

We had an amazing brunch here with the whole family! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served — the smoked salmon with herbs was a standout. Loved the fries and the fresh fruit on the side. Pelmeni was just bomb! Highly recommend pistachio latte!!!
The atmosphere is cozy yet stylish, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. A wonderful spot for a relaxing family brunch — we’ll definitely be back!

Delicious entremet desserts and coffee! The beautiful desserts were great and had many layers to them. You can tell they use high quality ingredients in the desserts. The pistachio coffee here was also so creamy and delicious! Highly recommend coming here, staff is so kind and welcoming. Definitely a place to try.

Stumbled upon this little gem during my little stroll around the Folsom area. When I walked in I was greeted with a friendly smile and the staff seemed very appreciated of each customer that came in. She went over the menu with me and clarified any questions I had. I ended up going with the vegetarian croissant sandwich and their berry blossom tea. The croissant is made fresh daily and you can surely taste the freshness! Although a simple sandwich, it was quite refreshing. I’m not much of a hot tea drinker, but this berry blossom tea is a must try! The aroma and taste of the tea infused with fresh berries is definitely an experienced to be had. With the great service, friendly service, beautiful aesthetics, there’s not much more you can ask for from a cute little cafe. Looking forward to returning to try their dessert items and other items on the menu.

Dessert Review
I would like to share some feedback regarding your signature desserts (“Mango,” “Pomegranate,” and “Coffee Bean”). Having previously tried similar Cedric Grolet-style desserts in San Francisco for $14 each, I couldn’t help but compare the two experiences. Unfortunately, at your price point of $20, the quality did not meet my expectations.
1. Flavor & Balance:
• Mango: The flavor lacked the expected freshness. It tasted more like an aged mango jam rather than a vibrant, fresh fruit.
• Pomegranate: It lacked the distinct pomegranate profile. Given that these desserts are inspired by Cedric Grolet’s philosophy of mimicking the actual fruit, the taste was unfortunately unrecognizable.
• Coffee Bean: This was the highlight of the three. Although the initial coffee hit was a bit overpowering, the aftertaste was excellent and very well-balanced.
2. Value for Money:
At $20 per piece, your desserts are significantly more expensive than the $15 versions I had in San Francisco. However, in terms of flavor and execution, the San Francisco version was superior.
Conclusion:
Overall, I would rate the experience 1 out of 3. I hope this feedback is helpful for refining your recipes to better match the premium pricing and the high standards of fruit-inspired pastry art.

Like if you visit your Babushka! Every dish here feels like it was cooked by a Ukrainian grandma who loves you but also thinks you’re too skinny. The server’s like, ‘Would you like extra sour cream?’ And I’m like, ‘No thanks.’ And they’re like, ‘Too bad, honey, you’re getting it.’ Authentic.”
