Food was okay, the chicken tikka masala was way too tomato heavy, and too light on flavor. The other dishes were better, except the rice pudding had zero flavor at all.

Great food for Nepali food in Montpelier, Vermont. The service was pretty good. A young man took care of us and made sure that we got our food and drinks. We probably should have tried to split a couple of entrees instead, we ordered our own, and that was our mistake. The two entrees were large but yummy.
If you’re in the mood for Nepali / Indian food I definitely recommend going here at least to take takeout

We were super hungry and drove 30 minutes for some desi food, but still didn’t get any real taste!
The butter chicken was the worst we’ve ever had, and the portion was tiny.
The biryani, butter naan, and mango lassi were just average.

I had a truly frustrating and disappointing experience at Namaste Indian Nepali Kitchen LLp tonight. We were looking forward to a nice dinner, but the service completely ruined the evening.
We were seated and placed our order promptly, but then the wait began, and it just dragged on and on. We sat patiently for well over 30 minutes without any sign of our food or any updates from our server.
Finally, I had to flag down the waiter to ask what the huge delay was. The response was shocking: he admitted that he had completely forgotten to submit our food order to the kitchen.
Seriously? After we waited for more than half an hour, we found out that our meal hadn’t even started cooking yet. That was completely unacceptable. It ruined our evening and felt like a complete waste of time. We decided to leave instead of waiting another hour for them to finally make our forgotten food.

Ordered Pulao which clearly says that it has vegetables in it. But there is no trace or single vegetable. The rice is very dry feels like it was left outside since morning, the spices and nuts are all burnt. I even spoke to the manager and he clearly cut the call and did not even reply if I asked for his name. Stopped lifting the call as well. It feels very bad having this kind of service.

I’ve had great food and good experiences here, but unfortunately had a disappointing takeout experience. The butter chicken was just not that great, and we ordered chicken soup for 7.50, and got barely half a cup. I wish they had the quantity listed on the menu or I would not have ordered it. Hoping it was just a bad night but am feeling hesitant to return.

Authentic Indian food. Lamb and goat dishes were great.

This was a surprise of a small restaurant.
Excellent food with large portions.
We came for an early lunch, which shortly became crowded.
Excellent food choices. The staff was courteous and friendly.

Tasty Indian food. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Leftovers were delicious the next day. Busy but not loud.

This restaurant just saved the day for us in Vermont! Most places were packed or already closed during the fall pick, but it went above and beyond by staying open late to accommodate all the visitors, even though their usual closing time is 9 PM. We ordered chicken dumplings, chicken biryani, goat biryani, veg biryani, and chicken kadai with plain rice. Each dish was flavorful and well-prepared, with the biryanis being standout favorites, perfectly spiced and cooked just right. The chicken kadai had a rich, savory sauce that paired beautifully with the rice. The only slight miss was the dumplings, which could’ve been a bit better, but overall, the food was excellent.
What really made the experience memorable was the service. Despite the restaurant being crowded, the staff handled everything with warmth and efficiency, making sure everyone was taken care of. Highly recommend this spot for its food and hospitality!
