This is one of my favorite restaurants in Hood River. Prices are decent for the generous portions and service is always great. They have great margaritas (and now palomas) and in the summer the patio is lovely. The interior is transportive. Like a mini vacation. My only suggestion is to change the light bulbs to warm bulbs in the dining area. Those bright white bulbs are not doing the place any favors.

Small hole in the wall place. It was perfect not too busy . A section where 12 Adults could sit comfortably amd eat. Otherwise comfortable booths with soft lighting. And the prices cant be bet here in Hood River period.. bigger portions and tasted amazing. Camerone la creme had 10 shrimp in it. Was 15.00. (5.00 off seafood on weekends) mixed drinks tequila sunset 8.00. Blows extapa out if the water. The stuff very polite and friendly. Its now our local go to Mexican restaurant..

Food was good. Restaurant was busy but seated us in 5 minutes and was constantly working families in and out despite only 8 tables. Place across the street was a 2 hour wait. It was a bit more expensive than any other Mexican restaurant I’ve been to.

My cousin got soup from here to take home, and they gave her a wrong container for soup because it was a melted mess. When she got home, is when she discovered this mess. She couldn’t even eat the soup as there was chunks of melted plastic in the soup. The person she spoke to on the phone refused giving her a refund! They instead offered to make her another soup.
Not only did they inconvenience her for the soup with the melted plastic because of using a wrong container for soup, they inconvenienced her some more offering instead to make more soup? So she was supposed to drive all the way from her house, and back to the restaurant to get more soup?She doesn’t even live in Hood River that would be a long drive back just for soup..When you make a mistake give a refund people!
The guys response on the phone too was this has never happened, and said this more than once I guess.
Come on people..When plastic gets too hot it melts! It’s bound to happen, and it did happen.
To owners reply:
I’ll never come here again myself. That’s up to my cousin if she ever wants to return again, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t.
You’d think you’d at least offer a voucher/gift card towards for next visit or something because often people don’t want to go back to a restaurant to get more food..Especially if we have to drive more than a few min, or are busy like working for example and simply don’t have time! You need to make it right, not offering a refund is bad business and not professional.

Terrible cheese dip and salsa. Ordered tacos and have been waiting over 45 minutes for them. People who sat down after us got food first. Portions are small and unappetizing. Waitress was really snotty. Tacos ended up being dry.

I ordered something I thought sounded amazing only to find out it was loaded with mushrooms that I don’t like. I kept the dish, my fault for not reading completely. They sent over a dish of beautiful fresh oysters while I waited for a second entree. Amazing service and the best margheritas!
