Love this place. Been a member of the cigar bar since 2020, best spot in the county. Amazing private events and wine selection as well. Fav is the burnt ends

The staff here were absolutely wonderful, super friendly and welcoming, which made the evening feel inviting. The surprising part was that the place was practically empty on a Friday night, which felt concerning from a business standpoint.

Food was a mixed bag:
• I had the dry-aged NY strip, and while I usually love that charred crust, this one tipped over into burnt and a bit too salty in spots.
• My wife ordered the salmon, and unfortunately it was on the dry side.
• On the bright side, my son loved his fries, and the chicken flatbread was excellent. That dish was the star of the table.
• The wings, though, had an overpowering smoky flavor, almost like liquid smoke, which made them average at best.

Overall, service gets full marks, but the food execution was inconsistent. A little less salt, a little more moisture, and a touch less smoke could easily push this spot up a star or two.

Our family came in on Monday for dinner. We were the only ones there by 6:15 when we left. We decided to leave because an empty restaurant is a bad sign, there was no kids menu, there were no windows in the dining room (it felt like a large closet with poor lighting), and the waiter getting drinks took too long. The restaurant didn’t charge for the drinks when we asked for the bill, which was nice, but it doesn’t change my review.

As we were leaving the restaurant was playing the “Sex and Candy” song… again, not kid friendly.

We then drove to Capital Grille and it was completely full of patrons. Entirely different atmosphere. Same price range.

We went for restaurant week lunch special. We each got the salad, wings, prime rib sandwich, steak frites, and bread pudding. We absolutely enjoyed every bite. The salad had the perfect caesar and blue cheese mixed flavors, the wings were amazingly fried with smokey flavors, the prime rib sandwich was very soft and flavorful – did not feel like we were even chewing – the steak frites were very soft with nice coarse salt and steak sauce, the pudding was perfectly sweet without being overly and the nuts gave a nice crunch. I am quite particular about my fries but the fries here are amazing! I would come back for everything (but particularly the fries!) And the management/service was very polite and friendly!

The smoked prime rib was outstanding. Our server was on point, and the manager introduced himself and made sure everything was to our liking. Highly recommend!

American Prime delivered an outstanding experience! The staff was excellent, making us feel welcome from start to finish. The food was just as impressive — from the smoked prime rib to the New York strip to the cowboy steak, everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. A must-visit for steak lovers! And how can I forget the bone marrow butter….. to die for.

Came here for a late lunch in the afternoon the restaurant was quiet, I didn’t have to wait for a table or make a reservation. This was my second time eating here. We ordered dry aged steak, Chilean Sea bass, crab dip, cheesesteak egg rolls and creamed spinach. The food here was adequate, everything was very salty. My first time eating the dry aged steak, it was a little over cooked I don’t know if that was how they have to cook it but it was good. Crab dip was a bit too sweet, my creamed spinach had chunks of cream cheese or some sort of cheese, cheese steak egg rolls were good but too salty. The sea bass I didn’t try or take pics but I was told it was delicious. Service from the waiter Sophie was excellent.

This place claims to serve prime beef but to us it turned out to be sub-prime at best. Ordered a variety of steaks for our group. Prime filet ordered ($62): burned with a thick carbonized crust and tasteless sirloin-like meat served. Smoked ribeye ordered ($54): it was tasteless and chewy like a gum! Very disappointed for the low quality food at premium prices at this restaurant.

Very tasty and good quality steak. Some of the sides are good but others aren’t, they are kinda expensive for what you get sometimes. They do offer smoking rooms so if you don’t like cigarette smells, I would recommend a different restaurant.

American Prime serves delicious, high quality food in a great atmosphere. Among higher end restaurants, this is certainly one of the best. For special occasions, it’s a treat the whole family should enjoy. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, the crab dip appetizer was excellent, and the sides of creamed spinach and cauliflower were fantastic. We shared a wonderful dessert to cap things off. Highly recommended.
