The meal started off with a basket of warm rolls and dipping oil. The bread was nice and soft—perfectly fresh and pillowy—but the dipping oil was basically just plain oil with little to no flavor (maybe a hint of herbs at best). It was okay, I guess, but nothing special to get excited about.
Next up was the bruschetta, which looked promising with fresh tomatoes, feta, herbs, and a drizzle of oil.
I would’ve liked it more if the bread had been toasted even crispier, or if there was less oil overall—it came out pretty soggy and soaked through. That said, the topping itself was good and flavorful, with nice freshness from the tomatoes and a tasty tang from the feta and herbs. Solid concept, just execution on the bread held it back.
The side salad was simple: mostly lettuce, red onions, and a cherry tomato or two.Nothing fancy there, but the ranch dressing was a standout—super flavorful and creamy, definitely not your average bottled stuff. It made the basic greens way more enjoyable.
The main event was the chicken marsala over penne (gluten-free pasta, which I was fine with).
The chicken didn’t really look or feel like typical chicken pieces (more like chunks or slices that were a bit off in texture), and the penne seemed overcooked or like it had been sitting around for a while—mushy and lacking bite. The marsala sauce had decent flavor from the mushrooms and wine, but it was too watery and runny. I prefer it reduced down thicker so it coats the pasta and spoon nicely. It just didn’t cling the way a great marsala should.
On a side note, I ordered unsweetened tea and got sweet tea by mistake, but they corrected it right away—no big deal.
Overall, this meal earned about 2 stars out of 5 for me, mainly due to the soggy bruschetta bread, overdone pasta, runny sauce, and a few other execution slips. That said, I did try a bite of the chicken Alfredo (not pictured) and it tasted really good, and the cheese ravioli looked appealing too.
Service was quick and friendly during that mid-afternoon lull.
This is just my personal opinion and experience. I’ll probably go back to give something else a shot—maybe stick to the Alfredo or ravioli next time. If you’ve eaten here, drop your thoughts below! Worth a try if you’re in the area.
Upon arriving to collect my order, several servers walked past me without acknowledgment. While I understand that staff may be busy, a brief greeting or confirmation that someone would assist me would have made a significant difference in feeling welcomed and valued as a customer.
We ordered the Chicken Marsala, and the sauce was quite unlike any Marsala we’ve had before — and not in a positive way. The flavor profile was difficult to identify, but the closest comparison we could make was that it tasted similar to ramen noodles. It did not reflect the traditional richness and depth typically associated with this dish.
Additionally, the menu states that all entrées come with a house salad, without distinguishing between dine-in and carryout orders. However, our pickup order did not include the salad, and I was required to purchase it separately. Clearer menu language or consistency in what is included would help manage customer expectations and prevent confusion.
While none of these issues alone would necessarily prevent me from returning, collectively they diminished the experience. Attention to these details – hospitality upon arrival, consistency in menu descriptions, and quality of signature dishes — greatly impacts customer satisfaction. As it stands, the likelihood of my return is unfortunately quite slim.
