Loveeeeeed the food! Coming from a mainland, it was our first time eating in a Mexican restaurant and they served it!!!! The staff is very friendly and polite. Nice and clean place to go with baby/kids and spacious as well. The food was delicious! I LOVED their salsa
Definitely give this restaurant a try, you won’t be disappointed! We are going back again

Outstanding food! Best Mexican I’ve had in Hawaii. Lots of less-usual dishes on the menu. I had pescado Mazatlán.

I’ve been coming here off and on for years. With new restaurants in the area, I’ve not come here in awhile. I came in by myself for lunch and saw a good review for the shredded chicken taco salad.
I really enjoyed the dining room experience. It was clean and the server was very friendly and attentive. (If you treat people well they treat you well in return) I ordered the shredded chicken taco salad. I loved it! I wanted to eat light that day.
I also had a side order of frijoles (refried beans) they were excellent and went well with the taco salad. I didn’t need the fried tortilla bowl so I got it on a plate and ate it with the tortilla chips.
It was an excellent experience and would be a great place to relax for lunch or even a business meeting. I’ll be back on Taco Tuesday. They were advertising Biria which I must try.
Last word: This is the most home style Mexican cooking out of all the Mexican food restaurants in the Kapolei area, including the big names. I’ll continue to support El Mariachi. They have been in Kapolei at least as long as me and have been a solid part of our community.

Given a burrito set in the wet beans u can’t even hold the burrito, I call and complain they don’t offer to do anything. Like my food looks gross and is falling apart and my burrito just tastes like beans this is how my burrito really looked. The manager who is a female didn’t offer to fix the situation at all and said that’s the plates we have and took no accountability. Like my burrito could have been set on the rice

Went with a group of 6. Very slow to seat and serve. Food was okay. Margarita was horrible, tasted like salt and margarita mix. Grouped bill and would not split after asking. Added group gratuity charge even though receipt said only occurs with 10+ party. Would recommend avoiding for poor service, mediocre food, overpriced and questionable ethics.

Nice family place. I almost always give 4 stars, but this place was off today. Had a spilled soft drink on the kids, this happens. The moved us to a new booth. Moved to a new table, it was dirty, they cleaned the table with a wet towel, table was left with a sour smell. Order for wife no meat inside burrito, explained on side, they brought meat on side and inside burrito. They got it wrong and didn’t fix it. Food was good for rest, but we won’t be going back.

Taco salad is amazing and the horchata hits the spot. Ordered some birria tacos and tamales for the kids and they were good.

This place is a gem!
Really great portion sizes and yummy food! I love the habanero sauce! It’s also nice of them to provide the free serving of chips and salsa for the table instead of charging for it. It feels like a classic Mexican restaurant because of that instead of the ones that charge!
Steven was our server and he was so nice and provided excellent service!

It was Cinco de Mayo, so of course Mexican food and a margarita were clearly in order. They are usually closed on Wednesdays, but they opened for the holiday and a crowd had gathered outside for the opening at 4:30. Mask wearing and reduced capacity for Covid. They were extremely busy, but in good spirits and very pleasant to deal with. The food was simply some of the best Mexican food we have had – and coming from California we have eaten at plenty of places. The carnitas . The flautas . The cheese enchiladas . The tacos and burritos . The strawberry and mango margaritas . Would highly recommend! It was so good we kept forgetting to take photos!
