This is the first time I’ve ever ate here and they have some extremely good food. Everything is made from scratch and cooked to order so it comes out as hot and fresh as possible. Because of this the wait for food is a little longer then normal (15min or so) but well worth it. The waitress was friendly and explained the menu to us and even brought out a little bit of bbq and sauce to try which tasted great. I’m not from the area but I will definitely be back in the future. This place is good enough to plan a trip to go out and eat at.

We stopped in here, while back tracking to a fruit stand. When I saw the police officer cars parked outside, I was pretty sure we were in for a treat and boy, we were. The wife ordered the catfish special and I ordered the ribs to share with the kids. I also ordered a pint of Brunswick stew. Everything was great. This was probably my favorite meal of our vacation. There was zero Brunswick stew left when I was done (I’m going to need that recipe). A few ribs made it into the to-go container, but they didn’t make it through the night. My kids even polished off all of their food. Don’t miss this food treasure.

Was pretty good,we had a time placing our order because the answering machine would tell us to call back,finely we got our order in, got it picked up ,got home and enjoyed our meal,we had copped beef,stew and fries,the chopped beef was in chunks not small chunks but was still tasty,my sister had slaw instead of fries she said it was good

Very good food, the service was a little slow at first. I had to wait for a little to long before my server came. I had the pork plate and the pork was great and so was the sauce, but it came already on the pork and was a little too much. I would prefer having the sauce on the side so I can put it on the way I like it. I am sure they would do it if asked, I just didn’t think to ask. I like the atmosphere. Over all I had a good experience.

I have always heard amazing things about this place and I have to say, the Hickory Fries and Potatoes are GREAT! The workers are friendly, too… However, in the area given to wait there just simply isn’t enough room especially during dinner rush. You’re crowded together and just way too close. It gets hard to keep cool and not leave prematurely when you’re fighting to keep calm while you have a social anxiety. Also, when my family and I ordered salads, we were *not* told we had to go to a salad bar within the restaurant to fix them ourselves and had to assume they were in our bags, so we ended up having no salad at all after we got home with our food.

First visit. Very friendly wait staff. We were given a “tour” of the menu. Lots of choices with a great variety to satisfy any appetite. Prices are on par or better for the amount of food that comes on your plate. I ordered the small Hickory Fries and my wife ordered a Beef BBQ Basket (sandwich with fries and slaw). All of the good was great! I would highly recommend this location! If you like BBQ at all, this is the place for you!

Excellent food. We just moved back into the area and hadn’t been here in 20 years. I don’t remember the food being this good. The servers are really friendly. Our food was brought to us less than 10 minutes after ordering and it was HOT! We will be back!

This place was wonderful! Cute and quaint. The BBQ is some of the best I’ve ever had. We tried everything! My favorite was definitely the sausage and ribs. Great homemade sauce too. We all cleaned our plates! This place is a must visit if you’re in the area. Our waitress was wonderful too and so sweet.
