I usually don’t read reviews before I write mine, as I keep my reviews about the food. I try not to let other’s opinions or past experiences cloud mine.
That being said I ordered a chicken swarma
box delivered. Packaged beautifully, with ketchup & napkins.
Fries arrived hot, well seasoned & plenty.
Pita was made with pride, stuffed so good when I began to un wrap it, it started to make noise from the pressure being released. Chicken was cooked just like it is at every other location I’ve had it from. Love the garlic sauce, fresh romaine. Pita was fresh, it got hard to put the pita down & admit I was full.
I couldn’t find anything wrong with my experience today and thank you for supplying lunch during the Michigan Ohio State hame at the big house.

At first I was thrilled by the presentation. But as soon as I started to eat the lamb shawarma stick it was like chewing on leather and gristle. I guess that’s what you get with low prices. I began to read the 1 star reviews. I can agree with all the one star reviews. The chicken in the hummus is extremely salty. So bad I couldn’t get the taste out of my mouth. Chicken was also 100% precooked. It was cold like it came out of the frig. The garlic spread was amazing.
I’d like to try the other location in Detroit. I’ve heard that place is amazing. Personally wouldn’t order from here again. Being a franchise, you think that they would all be consistent.

I’ve been multiple times to this location, along with the SCS location since first tasting the food at the original Columbia St location in Detroit. I’m leaving this because when picking up, my online order had not been made, though I received a notification that it was ready. A guy that was working (not sure if he was a manager, but took care of business) came up and asked about the issue, then got my order fired. It took an extra 17 minutes later than it was supposed to be ready, but the person I was working with was completely honest with the timeline, and gave me fries and a $10 gift card for my inconvenience. Super appreciative that they owned the problem and made it right. I’ll always be a customer, especially since besides the service, the food is top notch. Love the shawarma wrap and the fries are always nice and crispy.

I ordered from doordash and was very disappointed. The food is not worth the price. The chicken quesadilla was very dry and there were no veggies inside. Not as advertised!!

My food was supposed to be ready at 7:07 pm it wasn’t actually ready until 7:21, and the communication from the time I arrived to the time I got my food was terrible. Every time I order from this location I swear it will be my last. Every time is a one star experience (either the order is incorrect, the food is late, or both), and if the food wasn’t so good I definitely would’ve given up on the place a long time ago. The owner / manager should be embarrassed the quality of service and the customer experience. I can’t be the only one to voice this concern.

I placed a pickup order from this location for the first time. I didn’t have a bad experience. I was actually reading the reviews as my husband went in to pick up the order. Once he got back in the car, I read a review aloud that talked about the staff being on their phones…etc. My husband said wow that’s true because one of the customers was trying to get the attention of a staff member who was apparently tunnel visioned into his cell phone, My husband said he even tried getting the workers’ attention,but appeared as if he was ignoring them ( maybe he had ear buds on?). Anyway, the chicken swarmas were very good! The fries weren’t bad at all. Judging from the reviews, it seemed like we lucked up and had a good experience, so I’ll just let that be my one and done for this location. It’s appears to be hit or miss!

Well when I went in I wasn’t greeted and there were 3 young humans standing up front. I placed my order and that was it. But upon observing the other customers entering the establishment they were asked if they were dining in or taking out, I wasn’t asked. They were all on their phones and looking as if they just wanted the day to be over. The atmosphere was very dry not very upbeat at all. Maybe I went on an off day. But the food was delicious, and I would more than likely call my food in to pickup. I didn’t like the mood at the time, and again maybe they were all having an off day.

I’ve eaten at the downtown Detroit location for years and they’ve always provided fresh food. Unfortunately, the Grosse Pointe & Livernois location was a different experience. I ordered three sandwiches at 10:15 AM (Grosse Pointe) for my students and me, and we were very disappointed—the food didn’t taste freshly made. The phone experience also wasn’t very professional and didn’t represent the restaurant well.

This restaurant doesn’t seem to care that your order is correct and I have been unable to get a refund.
My son ordered some food online on Monday for dinner. He was given a pickup time of 4:50. I showed up at that time and asked about the order and they had not started to prepare it. In fact, they didn’t know where to look for the order. They finally found it and made the food but it wasn’t ready until 5:20 – a half hour late. The workers didn’t seem to care that it was an inconvenience.
When I brought the food home – we discovered that the food was made wrong, and it was unable to be eaten. I called about getting a refund and they said I would need to request it from Doordash since we ordered it online – the only problem with that was that the order didn’t go thru Doordash – it was directly thru the Bucharest Grill website which doesn’t use Doordash anymore.
When i went online to the website to figure out how to request a refund – as I was instructed to do by the restaurant since they said they couldn’t refund an online order – I couldn’t find any way to request a refund – and not even and Contact email for the corporate office. So i reached out via the Facebook page with my complaint and i got a response from a third-party who manages the account. I provided more details, and at their request my contact info, since they said they would share it with someone at Bucharest Grill who could get me a refund. That was 4 days ago and no one has contacted me.

We were walking and stopped in for first time . Excellent all around. The lamb shawarma was one of the best I have had out side east Desrborn, I can say that because I lived in that area for over 30 years . Clean , fast friendly . Staff , Top Shelf. Will be a regular stop on our walks. Thank you !
