I have eaten at Tammy‘s many times. This was the first time since she reopened. I was there around noon on the day after New Year’s Day. The place was as about as busy as it gets. I only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. I had the catfish with green beans, coleslaw, and fried cornbread. I normally don’t eat green beans, but I wanted to try something different at Tammy‘s. They were phenomenal! I never get excited about beans, but these were really good! The catfish was perfect and the coleslaw and cornbread were very good too. The service was excellent. My server was very attentive and friendly, and so was Tammy when she brought my food out. I love the small town atmosphere of this restaurant and I always have. All the food is what we Southerners consider home cooking. As I stated before, I have dined at Tammy‘s many times. I have never had anything that was not delicious. They also serve breakfast all day. It’s a popular spot in all the time for locals, but it’s really a hot spot when the weather is warm. It is located across the street from Elkhorn Creek. It is also very close to Canoe Kentucky, many campgrounds and fishing/boating spots in the area. This is a great place to have a meal with family and friends or alone. I happened to be alone that day. The down home atmosphere as well as the phenomenal food will keep me coming back. Excellent all the way around!!! It was a little over $11 for my meal plus a sweet tea. Very reasonable.

I had breakfast here two mornings, Tammy is very pleasant, and fast service, excellent food. For under $10 you can get a full breakfast and unlimited coffee. I highly recommend this location. My only regret was not getting lunch, dinner here.

Went for lunch, I had the ham steak breakfast and the wife had the chicken fried steak. Both entrees were delicious, the coleslaw and potato salad were the bomb! The 3 stars for service is because they are short people to work, and it took 45 mins to get our food. I definitely recommend Tammy’s! The food is outstanding!

Weirdest country cooking I’ve ever had.
Fried potatoes were just bizarre. Bone dry. Shoe leather color. Rubbery. No taste. Ham slice had a palm sized bone in it. Biscuit was dense and chewy not fluffy.
Service was incredibly slow.
Best thing about this place is that the prices are crazy cheap. But I guess you get what you pay for.

I am never disappointed eating at Tammy’s Diner. it’s friendly and cozy and the food has always been amazing. the portions are great and the prices can’t be beat. it is real, home cooked food and makes me feel like I’m back at home in the holler every time I eat here. can’t speak enough good about this place.

I stopped for lunch on a Tuesday at 1:30 pm and the place was so busy, I had to wait for the only table open to be wiped down. I was seated after a few minutes and the owner came right over and took my order.

This place doesn’t have a lot of ambiance, but it was clean and looked in good shape. There was a special menu by the cashier. The regular menu was half breakfast and half lunch/dinner. It was not a large menu, but everyone should find something. One thing for sure, this place is extremely reasonably priced. Everything on the menu was very reasonable.

I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes, gravy and corn. I was served my lunch after about a 5 min wait, which considering how busy it was, was faster than I expected.

Everything looked good. It was not the largest piece of steak, but you got way more than the price they charged. It was served with a hot buttered roll, which was soft and very tasty. The steak was tender, and the breading was very flavorful. The mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth. The gravy was not too thick, but just right.

I wish this place was close to my house, I would eat here all the time. I can’t wait to come back and try something different.

When you enter the building, you’re immediately greeted and told to go ahead. And have a seat anywhere you’d like, and then they get you, whatever drink you wish to have give you a breakup time to study the menu, then the food comes out pretty quick.Well cooked tasty. So I would recommend you to go there. As a previous manager of restaurants included exotic restaurants. My opinions are very important to all of you.I’m sure I wouldn’t mislead no one, so I wish you would try her breakfast and or lunch.I think you’d be satisfied.

We stopped at Tammy’s on our way back home from Frankfort, we are glad that we did. We got there about 3 PM and easily found parking. After we were seated our server was Tammy herself. We had several questions about the food, and she patiently answered everyone. The food was excellent, and the service was prompt. I had a hamburger, chips, and banana pudding. My wife had the catfish (“the best she has ever eaten”), potato salad, cornbread, and green beans. My wife’s grandmother was from Tennessee, and the food was just as good, if not better, than Grandma’s. While we were eating, we had a chance to visit Tammy’s husband for quite a while, he was just as nice and friendly as Tammy was. We will be back on our next trip to Frankfort; we may even just make a special trip just to eat there again.

Great little roadside diner. You seat yourself and very shortly was greeted by my server. I had country-fried steak, green beans, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread. Very good food for a low price. This will be a weekly stop for now on. Do yourself a favor and stop at Tammy’s Diner you won’t be disappointed.

Possibly the best catfish I’ve ever had! 1st time eating here, but wont be my last. Put a group order in for 8 to pick up. They had all boxes labeled with names and everything was right. That was a great way to start my experience with them, but when I actually tried the catfish!! amazing. Great job Tammys
