Upscale-casual eatery aboard a docked riverboat offering breakfast-to-dinner American fare.

had a family dinner at Delta King and really enjoyed the experience. Main courses are in the $35–60 range, and the desserts were fresh and nicely done. The historic riverboat setting feels mostly authentic, and the view of Tower Bridge at night is beautiful.
It does get busy, so service can be a bit slow at times, but overall the food, atmosphere, and location made it a great spot for a special family dinner in Old Sacramento.

The waiting staff was very friendly once they finally attended to us. I was waiting at the hostess stand for a while before someone even addressed me despite the several people who walked past me and helped people right before me. The cocktails were great! The menu was not accurate and they brought out something that I was not expecting. The food was also not great. We got the fried calamari which came out burnt-ish. They were very nice about taking it back for a new one but they brought out a very similar product that wasn’t great. We also got the flatbread and that was just okay, only enough to share with 2 people. The Cajun pasta was pretty good. The crabcakes were just okay as well. Not very flavorful. I would not be able to recommend this place because of the expensive prices and the food not being very good.

Great place for a celebratory dinner with an amazing view of the river. The staff is kind and helpful. The food was pretty solid; however, the Brussels Sprouts (didn’t get a chance to take a picture) were by far the best and are something I could have every day.

The Delta King has a wonderful atmosphere and ambiance. Absolutely loved looking out at the water and watching the boats go by. Our server was awesome and funny. It was my birthday and he took pictures for us and made it a great event. The food was the only downside. Honestly, no one at our entire table of 11 thought the food was good. It was edible but there was no flavor, seasoning, taste, had to ask for several condiments to make the burgers edible. The drinks tasted funny too. But – again, we had a good time and appreciated our server’s attentiveness, and enjoying the views.

Definately a fun experience. Seems to fly under the radar. The stained glass near the ceiling is incredible!

Excellent!!! Shrimp Louie was great, but too big for 1 person unless you’re having it for your entrée. Flatiron steak was great as well, and was cooked perfectly. The only negative was that the waiter asked if he should bring the salad out first. I said yes, but only around 5 minutes after getting the salad, out comes the steak.

NIce atmosphere, a little formal.
Great service.
Mushroom appetizer was very good, drinks were good.
We split the Cajun Linguini, and it was good, but more salty than it needed to be in our opinion. We did split the meal and it was enough to satisfy both of us.

Two years ago we enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving Buffet dinner with my family so when my step dads birthday came up two weeks ago we decided it would be perfect. The service was terrible, the staff were unprofessional and lacked training. The food was disgusting. My flatbread was undercooked and floating in pesto sauce. The dining room itself was not clean. Carpet was filthy. By the time we left, Old Town didn’t feel safe. A shame for Sacramento.

EDIT: Still one of the best views in the city. Cocktail prices have jumped up to $15 (thats a 36% increase in 7 months). Other than that, the food was good. Service can improve, but I just love this spot.
Beautiful setting. Who doesn’t love drinks on a boat? $11 for a French 75 with a fresh lemon twist is pretty fantastic. $9 beer. Friendly bartender.

Definitely go for the ambience. The menu is small and doesn’t have a lot of choices so if you’re looking for a large variety, this isn’t the place. Dining on the boat however is a nice experience and would be terrific for a date night. We sat outside at the water and the view is so worth the trip. It’s a bit on the pricey side though so be prepared. We had a bottle of wine and some appetizers, just a nice evening sitting and talking. Service was great and very attentive. You walk through old town Sacramento to get to the boat and it’s nice because it’s situated right by the parking garage.
