Fiance ordered via the app and it said there was an error and returned her to the “start a new order” screen. So she placed the order and it went through. When I saw I had been doubled charged, she spoke to a male manager, who told her he would only give her 1 order, even though we had been charged for two, and we could call a 1-800 number for a refund.
Im a software developer, crap happens, apps fail, I’ll wait for support to get back with me; it’s all good.
So the next morning I had crowns for a free iced coffee so I ordered that and they got me with their breakfast deal so I ordered that too, I show up, they tell me they don’t have an order.
I look at my app, says order timed out. I check my bank, I was charged. I check my email, I had a burger king receipt. This time I spoke to a lady manager who just kept saying, “We don’t do anything with app payments” over and over again, so I stop, calm down a bit and I explain “Ma’am, Im not trying to give you a hard time or make this a big deal, I just don’t understand why I am showing you that yall charged me and you cant either give me my food or my money”. I asked her to call support for the app or contact her superior before this point, she refused just repeating over and over again “We don’t do anything with the app payment”.
Like I literally walked out with nothing, because the woman couldn’t just say “Oh our app messed up, lemme get you that coffee and biscuit since I see you paid for it”.
