On Monday June 23, we went to this Yorkville Dairy Queen and order a banana split that comes with nuts because they no longer put cherries on their banana splits, and a Large Carmel Sundae with chopped nuts. First they gave us a chocolate sundae while we were sitting there waiting, we noticed that the sundae was just sitting there. when they handed it to us we informed them that we didn’t order a chocolate sundae we ordered a large caramel sundae with chopped nuts. When they went to make the corrected sundae, they told us that they had to charge us for the nuts. However, they had already charged us for extra nuts and when they gave us the sundae there were no nuts on it. When we told them that it was their mistake and we shouldn’t have to pay for the nuts. The Mexican manager became angry and irate and started yelling at us, and told us not to come back. He became angry because we would not allow him to steal from us. This is not the first time I have had an incident with this Dairy Queen. Back in 2020 I got food poisoning one morning when I ordered a banana split, and was sick for three days.

Walking into Dairy Queen is dangerous for anyone with a weakness for thick, white, slimy, creamy goodness. The second I stepped in, I knew I wasn’t leaving until I had something erected tall in front of me, dripping and waiting to be taken down.
The Blizzard came first. They flipped it upside down — stiff, unbending, almost taunting me — showing off that nothing leaks no matter how much you shake it. It was thick and creamy, cold at first, then melting into a slimy mess that coated everything on the way down. I swallowed it fast, but those chunks were so big I had to work them over slow before I could finish.
The sundae hit next. Hot fudge oozing down the sides, pooling at the bottom, mixing into the white cream until it was a sticky, sloppy mess. My spoon was covered, my fingers were sticky, and honestly, I didn’t even care. The messier, the better.
And then… the Dilly Bar. Hard and erected when I first held it, but once I bit through the shell, it exploded with thick, white cream that left me groaning for another. It was slimy, it was sweet, and it was everything I didn’t know I needed.
By the end, I was sticky, satisfied, and just a little ashamed of how much I enjoyed myself. Dairy Queen doesn’t just serve dessert — they serve full-blown indulgence. If you’re craving something thick, white, slimy, creamy, and erected just right, this is the place to get wrecked.

Place was absolutely dirty no one in dining room and no staff cleaning it. The windows are all streaked see the pics and the fireplace. The tables shown in pics not even clean. The chili cheese dog was terrible the chili tasted like it was cooked forever or reheated or possibly left cooking all day. The bun was hard and stale. Totally disappointed and we were not even here during peak dining hours. Just unacceptable even being short handed.

Ordered 2 bbq tenders, girl at the register was kinda rude and super pushy. When she messed up my order and tried to give me a regular chicken strip I went back and said hey where is my bbq tenders. I had already been here for 15 minutes so I was kinda agitated. Then she said “do you have your receipt? I said yes and when going back she didn’t admit she put the wrong thing and wasn’t listening instead said I’m sorry but since it’s not on your receipt we are gonna have to charge you. Literally charge me a dollar for your mistake??? Gravy looked disgusting and chicken tenders were super small. By far the absolute worst dairy queen I’ve been to. DISGUSTING

This place used to be excellent but has gone bad. They wont last long with this kind of service and food. Rude and portions very weak.

Drive through is a joke 20-45 minutes at least, non friendly staff. Obviously it must be very difficult to make ice cream in 2025 because nobody at this specific location can figure out how.. if you order any candy in ur blizzard I hope you enjoy plain vanilla.

This place is good but they lack management especially during weekends. Been in line over 10 minutes still waiting for someone to work the register. The entire staff is making ice food. No one seems to notice the line going out the door or the unattended register. A proper manager would be able to properly place people.

I came in to eat dinner with my 3 kids. We ordered dinner first then I used
My points to order min blizzards for each child through the app. We are sitting at the table closest to the service counter and can hear employees. I placed 4 separate
Orders in order to use my points for each mini blizzard. The employees were loudly talking about my order…’something along the lines of this ‘oh my god Michelle’s order, she wants that medium free’. For some reason my first Blizzard order was cancelled. I asked the young man about it and he said it should be fine. I then let them know i was supposed
To have 4 blizzards. The girls and young man bursted into laughter. I put in another order for the first mini blizzard and paid in full for it. They were not professional on the least. I know they’re younger kids but they should definitely have some work etiquette. The behavior was rude and very off putting.

Cody and the team was awesome! Despite the place being packed to the brim, they worked hard and fast to provide service.

Purchased 3 peanut buster parfaits 2/20/2017 at 4:42 PM for $15.27 with tax. Service was quick. Counter help was very professional and polite.
My issue is with the size of these Peanut Buster Parfait cups and the product quantity. The cups seem to be smaller every year since about 2007 and the amount of ice cream increasingly less. This is the amount of ice cream placed in the cup. I will not be going back to this store – ever.
