The best part was that I was in and out quickly. The food was hot and ready and I was on my way. I will certainly return and comb the menu a little more thoroughly before ordering next time.
$20 for a two meat combo is stupid. It’s even worse when they get you with the extra charge for your normal meat selections, which isn’t listed. If you don’t get chicken or turkey, you’re probably paying extra. Want brisket? Extra fee. Want moist brisket? Extra fee. You’re paying extra. Everything is extra, and the food is not good.
I ordered the two meat combo, like usual. Moist brisket. I got the driest, worst brisket in existence. Ordered sausage, which like moist brisket, was extra. Everything is extra and nothing is beyond mediocre. Even mediocre, I come back, but not after the last time.
Burnt, dry brisket. This is the flat and not the point I paid $1 extra for. Green beans had zero flavor and the potatoes had water all in it — it wasn’t butter. Just a nasty meal, which could have been better at ANY other place. Look at the portions as well. Just absolute slop that they serve.
I sent a message through the app, which I never do. Again, I did eat here a lot. No response. Whatever, it shows what they think of you and me.
Look at my five-star review of Smokey Mo’s from seven years ago and go to that Parmer location.
They missed my order on the ticket so I had to wait lobger than I would have liked but they were busy on a holiday. I’ll give them a pass this time…manager was apologetic and got right on it.
Food was good and smoked meats were tasty.
Main complaint is that nothing was hot…I had the baked potato and the butter never melted. Same with the meat and beans, barely warm.
Not a lot of seating, but adequate.
I was invited by my relatives to this restaurant and asked in advance if they had smoked grilled chicken—they confirmed that they did. When I read the menu, I noticed that pork was included. I informed the staff that I have a sensitivity to fats, especially pork, and requested that the chicken be cooked separately. They responded professionally and assured me that the grilling and preparation tools are completely separate, which I truly appreciated.
️ The food was delicious, well-cooked, and the place was quiet, clean, and comfortable.
❗Important note:
I kindly suggest that the restaurant’s management reconsider offering pork, especially since many customers—such as Muslims, Jews, and even many Christians—do not eat it. According to the holy books (the Psalms, Torah, Bible, and Qur’an), pork is prohibited. It would be thoughtful to reflect this diversity in your menu planning.
I hope you review your menu with respect for religious and cultural diversity, and continue maintaining the quality of your food and the cleanliness of your place.
The baked potato and the pinto beans were cool but still good, unfortunately the meats were not so great. They were barely warm and sort of tasteless, they looked good on the plate, but very bland in taste.
The restaurant is counter service but they still expect a tip, which they didn’t get as they didn’t provide any service just like any fast food restaurant.
We so wanted this to be good, oh well, now we’ll have to continue our search for our go to barbecue place.
The sandwich meal and sliced brisket meal were great and portion size was decent. I especially liked the pinto beans and only wish that you could get refills !
We love the condiment bar with the pickles, onions, and pickles carrots / jalpenos. Yumm is all I can say.
The food is great. The service outstanding. The Hutto location team is a happy team. They have demonstrated to be not only the highest quality of their menu offerings but also a service team that values each and every customer. They sincerely feel the customer is king. Thank you guys and gals for all you do to make everyone feel welcomed .
