The italian beef sandwich was alright, just not the best I’ve had. I just wished that I was given more au jus or broth containers instead of only 1 cause it was not enough unfortunately so my sandwich pretty much tasted very dry for the most part because of how quickly it absorbed into the bread. I think the sandwich was the most disappointing item out of my order because not only was my sandwich bread incredibly thick but there weren’t anything much else to it except for thin slices of beef and green peppers.. it didn’t have any onions nor any giardiniera peppers at all. Also even with the au jus it wasn’t a spicy sandwich. It felt like something was missing. But the potato fries were delicious and I really liked the garlic flavored seasoning on that and they were very generous with ketchup. However if I were to name my favorite item out of my order I think it would have to be the mozzarella sticks because it had the right texture, right amount of seasoning and the cheese pull from it wasn’t as bad either.. you could tell that it was high quality mozzarella by the way it tasted and looked and the marinara sauce they give you for the cheese sticks tasted sooo good I actually wished they’ve given me 1 more instead of just 1 container of marinara sauce. But other than being stingy with their sauces I think this restaurant has a lot to work on… most notably in their sandwich criteria although maybe they’re more known for their pastas/pizzas instead. All I know is that if I’m ever back in Chicago I won’t go out of my way to come back here for an Italian beef sandwich if I can help it cause I know there are better restaurants out there.

This place by NO means is the Uno franchisee or the legacy of the Uno in downtown. We have been going to Uno in downtown for the last 15 years. Thought of giving this location a try this time…It is horrible and a shame on the Uno brand name.

We ordered “Spinachholi” large size. They brought it under cooked. Pizza had so much water left over that within 5 min, it was all muggy and mushy. Water drained on one side of the pan (Pic attached) t was like pizza soup. Then the cook added Cheddar cheese all over on the top of the pizza which is again never been a part of their recipe. Of course all taste obscured by cheddar and tasted like puking.

We ended up leaving the place and paying almost $50, in addition to wasting all the food. As a joke, they took off 10% …haha.

Rather should have gone to Pizza hut or Domino’s instead to get at least a reliable and consistent franchise experience. Save yourself some time and DO NOT GO here if you are truly hoping to enjoy the Chicago style Pizza.

This is a tourist trap. The only thing good about this place is the service. The staff was top notch, so this has nothing to do with them.

People say that pizza is one of those foods where even if it’s bad, it’s still pretty good. Not here. This was horrible. The sauce was not seasoned at all and was sour due to the overwhelming presence of tomato acid that I can still feel on my tongue. The crust was ridiculously hard to where you need to exchange the knife they give you for a sawzall. The cheese tasted cheap and rubbery and I’m pretty sure that the sausage was just frozen. They cut so many corners on the preparation that the pizza barely passes as edible. Yet, it’s $25 just for the small pizza.

I’m guessing this place is just using the Uno name to bring in people who are staying near the airport on a layover. Unless you’re just stopping in for drinks, don’t waste your time.

Hidden inside of a motel this location is clean but dated with battered furniture. This helps give it character, unless you are expecting something fancy to go with the prices. They aren’t cheap but Uno is a Chicago area landmark. Our waitress was very friendly and made it a fun experience.

We had Pizza Skins as an appetizer. These are mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon on a deep dish pizza crust. It sounds strange but they are surprisingly good.

Their deep dish is more crust with less sauce, and I prefer it this way. Maybe the best deep dish I’ve had in years. All of the ingredients are balanced and the crust is perfect.

While visiting town, I knew I had to try authentic Chicago deep-dish pizza, and Pizzeria Uno was the perfect spot. With its rich history as the birthplace of deep dish in 1943, this restaurant feels like a slice of Chicago’s culinary legacy. This particular location is franchised and attached to a hotel but the restaurant history remains the same.

I ordered the small Uno Original deep-dish pizza, and it was absolutely delicious—rich, cheesy, and loaded with flavor. Honestly, it was more than enough for two people, so come hungry! We also tried the garlicky cheese bread, which was a great appetizer—warm, cheesy, and full of garlicky goodness.

Adam was our server, and he made the experience even better. He was incredibly friendly, fun to chat with, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. His excellent service really stood out and added to the experience.

If you’re looking for classic Chicago deep dish with a side of warm hospitality, Pizzeria Uno O’Hare is a must-visit!

My Absolute FAVORITE hangout. Their bartender, Issa, is tremendous. He’s friendly, but professional. He’s warm, yet efficient. The rest of the waitstaff are engaging and attentive. Any oversight in the kitchen was resolved immediately. And the “Pie”; Top Shelf All the Way. Whether Thin or Deep Dish I’ve Always had a great meal there. And Big Props to bartender Macieg, and waitresses Veronica and Bre. I’ve always left here wanting more.

we ordered meatballs sandwiches and a individual barbecue Chicken pizza.
The meatball sandwiches were not my favorite. They were dry, there was no flavor
It was like they took some ground beef, put some salt and pepper, and Rolled it in a ball. We also ordered an individual barbecue chicken pizza We added pepperoni and sausage to it. I thought it was delicious. We have eaten from Uno‘s before, and actually had their meatball sandwiches and they were great, just not this time.

I came to Chicago for the first time on Christmas Eve, and ended up using Pizzeria Uno simply because it was basically inside the hotel after a long day downtown. I’ve had lots of pizza in my life, and plenty of it was deep dish. Didn’t really concern myself with the ‘Chicago Deep Dish’ hype.
Christmas Eve, and they were closing at 7. They were happy to take our to-go order around 6:30. I guess it did cost a little more than some of the giant pizza chains available, but here’s the thing: it was worth every cent! I think that might’ve been the best pizza I’ve ever put in my pizza-loving mouth. I will likely be traveling to Chicago again in the future, and this pizza is something I’ll be looking forward to each time!

Sizes advertise do not match what is given.

Very frustrated about what was stated on website when I ordered vs what we were given. Personal deep dish is supposed to be 7” and 6 slices. The size above that is regular supposed to be 10” and 8 slices. We ordered the size above the personal pizza which on the menu ordering page is listed as the small (again not a personal) and it came 9” with only 4 slices. Not near enough food and will not feed 2-3 people like the middle option on their website. Called the store and they apologized but also said the sizes on the website might represent the downtown sizes but theirs are personal 6” 4 slices and next size up is 9” also 4 slices. This is false advertising. Please correct your website or communicate the size discrepancies to customers on the ordering page.

Not as expected.

In Chicago for business. Dropped off luggage and plotted for Deep Dish pizza.

Arrived at Uno’s, which is connected to a Comfort Inn. Arrived around 7, and the place was empty. Didn’t expect the weekly trivia session. Unexpected and did enjoy it.

Ordered the garlic bread, and it was more of a cheese bread served with marina sauce. Tasted ok, but not was I expected and would not reorder.

Small deep dish to share with one person, and it was a perfect size. I have been to multiple Uno locations, so I know how the pizza should taste. This tasted off, I couldn’t put my finger on it, but it had a sour taste. I rated it a 2 out of 10. For newbies, I would skip this location because the pizza doesn’t taste like this.

This location was also understaffed. One server, one bar manager and at one point I saw a cook peek out looking for a runner.

This Uno was not was I expected. The pizza didnt taste good, the location was not optimal but the trivia made me smile. Skip and go elsewhere.
