We ordered their Lamb Tikka Masala, their Butter Chicken, and their chef’s bread basket today. The flavor was good. However… We were eating through the left overs today and found a piece of thin curled up metal in the curry.
I do not think it’s safe to eat from this establishment when you have to worry about eating metal. If I didn’t happen to feel it in my mouth, I would’ve swallowed it or cut my gums. We had to throw the rest of the food out as we didn’t want to risk eating metal.

Tandoori chicken takes 30 minutes!!
We stopped by this place for lunch with my 7-year-old son, who loves trying new foods, and my wife. We thought I’d order the tandoori chicken and maybe a couple of other dishes. But when we were told the tandoori chicken takes 30 minutes, we suddenly got really busy! So, what should we order instead?? After asking around, we ended up ordering a few things, but two of them were a miss…
If you really want the tandoori chicken, just order it! The other dishes don’t come out that quickly either!

I took food to go. Huge portions of tandoori chicken, a large portion of rice, delicious flatbread. I recommend that lovers of Indian cuisine order and eat directly in the restaurant – the dish will be hot and juicy. It’s clear that the chefs are trying. I love this kind of traditional food, but the spices were too strong for me.

Beware of the owners of this restaurant. Their old Five Rivers Indian Cuisine location in Westlake Shopping Center was forced to close by the landlord because of long term rodent infestation issues. That stated, my food orders from Five Rivers Indian Cuisine have been delicious. With only one order that had a piece of steel wire inside an order of naan . Guessing that steel wire thread was used to kleen the cooking equipment the naan is made on. But was missed during the cleaning. Otherwise Five Rivers Indian Cuisine has been very good.
Don’t expect outstanding service here. But it’s solid and relatively quick if you are eating in or taking out.
Suggest giving them a try.

This place is brand new and deserves a try. I got the butter chicken and this is by far the tastiest food I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time. Very nice workers and super clean place inside. Highly recommend, it’s delicious

Never had curry pizza before, but it exceeded our expectations. It was really delicious!
Update: came back here for the Indian and it was a horrible experience. The entire place smelled like an outhouse, waited 50 min for food, the glass was so dirty with particles we had to send it back. Food was just okay this time. Won’t be wasting my money here again with much better places on 9th and Irving

Great tasty location for Punjabi food. The naans are very nice and fluffy and soft. The chicken tikka kebab was delicious. I even got a second order for take out.
Great selection of food and they also have pizza if you have kids that do not want to eat Punjabi food.
I will be returning for dinner again when I am in the city.

Today we held a party at this restaurant for my son’s 1st birthday for about 50 people. The food was awesome. All the guests were very happy and appreciated the quality and taste of the food. The service was amazing. The staff was very efficient, attentive and cooperative. I would recommend this restaurant for good food and having a nice get together. it is situated at a very beautiful location too, very close to ocean beach and Golden Gate Park.

The restaurant is undergoing construction because it just reopened however, the food is excellent and the server more than made up for the lack of atmosphere. There were also six mobile pickups double-parked in the street, when we arrived: Goes to show how popular this place already is.
