I was looking for a top rated breakfast spot near me. This one was one of the suggestions. Definitely hole in the wall, but the kind of vibe I was looking for. This is family owned and operated for 22 years. Val is the owner and does all of the wonderful artwork. Her cousin Rhonda is Cashier/Server/Customer Service. I was made to feel welcome and at home; like eating at my aunt’s house. I highly recommend one of the samplers if it’s your first time, so that you get to try several options. They have a great breakfast menu with plates, sandwiches, and lunch. They are open 6:00 to 2:00 Monday through Friday and 7:00 to 2:00 on the weekends. They close early on Thanksgiving and do not open on Christmas. There is a small parking lot and a few small tables. So, on weekends you might see a crowd and have to wait a little bit. They do take to-go orders and I believe also doordash. I think the prices are excellent for the portions and the food is delicious. This will be a place that I go regularly.

This is one of the best breakfast/lunch places in Glen Burnie you will find. I placed a to go order over the phone this morning and the lady who took my order was the sweetest lady ever. When I went and picked my order up 15 mins later I was greeted with the same sweet lady I spoke to on the phone. Now onto the food I got 2 pancakes big platter and my eggs were amazing, hashbrowns was absolutely delicious and the toast had to be the best buttered toast I’ve ever had from a restaurant. I usually read reviews but just looking at this place I just decided to go on the fly and it was the best decision ever. I will be returning tomorrow, lastly spend your money here good food and awesome service!

I don’t appreciate Rhonda telling me, “if I wanted my eggs a certain way, I would need to go home and cook them myself.” She also stated, “this is a hole in the wall restaurant so we cook everything standard and one way. Our cooks aren’t 5 star chefs.” I just felt extremely dissatisfied and disgusted with her demeanor. Don’t ask me how I want my eggs cooked and I reply scrambled soft and you say that’s fine, they’ll know what to do (implying the cooks would understand soft) and then my eggs come out scrambled hard. Now Rhonda wanted to become argument and sassy and compare the restaurant to others and say what they can and can’t do. I asked for well done French toast, golden on each side and I got soggy French toast. For this to be my first time, I was extremely disappointed and I’ll never be back! Service is everything to me and I can’t eat from a place that makes excuses for their cooks after hyping the restaurant up and telling me I’ll love everything here and that’ll I’ll live my eggs exactly how they’re cook anyway. That’s not okay!

Very bland food. I can cook a better breakfast at home. Nothing I ever got here has been great. I want to like this place cause it’s so close but it always disappoints.

How could a simple scrapple, egg, and cheese sandwich be terrible? As pictured, the scrapple was burnt, the cheese wouldn’t even melt, and that 1 egg was just sad. I also ordered grits which were oily and flavorless. I was not a fan of the atmosphere at all mostly due to the strong smell of cigarette smoke. It’s as if the smoking is happening in the building. Maybe I had a one off experience based on all of the good reviews but unfortunately I won’t be going back.

Looking for a great spot for breakfast?! Look no further than 5th Avenue!! Great food, great atmosphere, and great staff! Highly recommend the gravy wether is on a breakfast bowl or on biscuits as well as the grits!! We will certainly be coming back. If you see Brisket running around say hi, he is so friendly and made our morning when we walked it!

Good breakfast food, the steak sandwich is very good. Everything is reasonably priced and the food is good, personally my only complaint would be about a lack of vegetarian options.

To start off, WOW. 5th Avenue breakfast and lunch is now on my top recommendation list. Upon entrance, the restaurant gives you a cozy, family run restaurant type of feeling . When I went in I was promptly greeted by a lovely lady named Rhonda who politely and patiently assisted me since it was my first time. The food (pancake breakfast) was prepared within a matter of minutes and was soooo very good along with a very reasonable price too! I came here on a whim of curiosity and left very very satisfied. I will definitely come back any chance I get!
