Everything was so disappointing. Egg drop soup had a rank smell. Fried wontons tasted like they were sitting out for hours– which they wouldn’t have been. So maybe they were over fried or the oil was old. The Pad See Ew had like none of the typical Thai vegetables in it– just a bunch of raw red onion and some bean sprouts. Bubble tea was nearly room temperature until we asked for more ice cubes. The hot and sour soup was good. The Japanese tea itself was good if the cup didn’t taste like the dish soap it was washed with.
Overall just so disappointing.
Entering Zuang’s Garden felt like taking a mini-vacation to a tranquil oasis. First stop – the half-tranquil-half-tacky indoor koi pond. Had to check if Aquaman was hiding out – turns out, he stays oceanside. Me? I chase waterfalls (like in the Batcave), sometimes I stick to the rivers and lakes that I’m used to. I snagged a pic while pondering the mysteries of the deep… or maybe just the next best meal.
Speaking of meals, Zuang’s Garden serves up a delectable spread. But here’s the real hero of the story: their boba bar! I, BatmanJawn, even scaled the heights of two gloriously refreshing boba drinks for a photo op.
And for those unfamiliar with these tasty treats, fear not! Zuang’s Garden has a whole menu dedicated to boba flavors, each one more tempting than the last. I spent a good amount of time (okay, maybe a little longer than planned) pointing out all the options to a nearby table. Sharing is caring, right? (Though, with flavors like mango and taro, I wouldn’t blame them for keeping their boba to themselves).
Overall, Zuang’s Garden gets a glowing review from this caped crusader. It’s a place to relax, recharge, and savor some truly delicious Asian cuisine. Just don’t be surprised if you see a miniature Batman action figure perched precariously on a boba cup – that’s just me, enjoying a well-deserved break.
Eating here is quiet. Not many customers and sometimes the waitress forgets about you.
Recently we got take out and they must’ve had a new cook or something cuz it was “off”. Not made like it usually us. But despite that, we still go here. Small hole-in-the-wall Chinese place but still fabulous food regardless!
Delivery takes forever, so just plan to pick up.
