Awesome vegetarian spring rolls fresh made to order, not premade frozen. We had dinner plans elsewhere so didn’t get to try more this time but will definitely be back. They also had every kind of Mexican and Asian hot sauce available on the island. There are complaints about it being slow but that’s because it’s all fresh made, this isn’t fast food and there are plenty of nice seating around to enjoy some down time

I had the ono fish burrito, what was very good. She seared the outside of the tortilla, which made for a very robust burrito I could pick up and eat easily. The burrito was super filling and defiantly a comfort food. Prices appear to be in the mid section. The burrito seamed to be a good price. It was made pretty quick too – which was nice. The Island Tacos is a mix of Thai food and Mexican. Possible? Yeah, it is possible. I though the lemon rice and curry style fish in my burrito was very satisfying. Some concerns I had was that the woman taking my order knew good English, but not with great understanding. I ordered a fish burrito, decided to add a water to the order later, and found she had forgotten the burrito order all together. I had to order it twice, which is fine, I guess. Part of the problem is that she plays loud music or was watching TV between customer orders and it was hard for her to hear me with this still playing in the background. The burrito was very hot (temp. and not spicy), so be prepared for that. Both the veggie taco and fish burrito were mild. I got the taco as well and I wasn’t impressed with the taco. For one, it is way too much stuffing for the tiny flour tortilla used in the taco. Second, I wanted the corn, but I forgot to tell her corn and she ended up giving me a flour tortilla taco – without out asking for corn or flour. Also, I assumed there was no water, as the menu only had listed an Thai ice tea. Upon me asking, she said she does sell water. I ordered a water, what was not refrigerated and was in a plastic bottle. So, that could be listed in the menu, but it isn’t. All in all, there was some communication errors with her. Her tacos were very messy and I got sour cream and salsa juice all over my hands. I was fine with this, as I came prepared and had nitrile gloves when I was eating it, so it was fine. This was not the case of the burrito. The burrito was robust and not too sloppy, just some oil from searing the tortilla. I might be back once and a while for the burrito. While it was robust and a good size, it also was mostly rice and maybe like three or four small chunks of fish.

I had a delicious shrimp stir fry from here today, and my eldest kiddo enjoyed the crispy steak quesadilla. My youngest daughter loved loved the fish! Great use of spices without being spicy. Tasty “hole in the wall” I’d recommend to all.

Super bummed. The chicken burrito I ordered and the veggie burrito my husband ordered was terrible. The woman that helped us and made our food had zero aloha. I really dislike writing this kind of review it doesn’t bring me pleasure, especially for a small business it hurts my heart. However I do feel I should let other people know my experience. I’m bummed.
