My husband and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time! We were finally able to last night and it was truly worth the wait. We reserved an outdoor table for 5 at 5:45pm and they were able to seat us immediately. The outdoor courtyard was a sight to behold. It was shaded and surrounded by fragrant vines of Jasmine and many other beautiful plants/herbs. We arrived early and had the courtyard all to ourselves.
The soux chef came out to our table to explain the specials of the day along with their fish of the day (grouper filet). We were also informed that all of the pasta was made homemade which I thought was a nice touch!
We started off with a salmon (ceviche-type) of appetizer along with mussels that were to divine and exquisitely spiced and flavored!
My husband and father in law both had the grouper with risotto which they absolutely devoured and thoroughly enjoyed, our girls had buttered noodles with grilled shrimp, and I had the gnocchi with shrimp packed with creamy, deliciousness and a big punch of flavor! The server, hostess, and chef were gracious, patient, courteous, and helpful.
We 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a great restaurant that checks all the boxes! We will be bringing all of our visiting guests here moving forward!

Beautiful! This mansion turned restaurant is absolutely a wonderful dining experience. Each room is individually decorated and presents the diner with an artfully appointed decor that is rich with history. Our server was not only well acquainted with the menu but also took us on a tour through the home … thank you,Mccall. The food was perfectly done and artfully presented. A great place for an Anniversary dinner while in Savannah. Dinner for 2 w/o alcohol ~ $145. Look forward to another trip.

What can I say? It’s not just about the food but the experience. It was raining and we were greeted by this beautiful woman who let us in a little early before they opened so we wouldn’t be drenched. They served us their home-made bread which was amazing!! It was so thick it looked like a piece of cake. Our server Mel, was so attentive and recommended a wonderful northern italian wine. The food was so incredible but the experience was a memory that will last for a long time. I can’t wait to come back!!!

Gabriel our server provided friendly attentive professional service. Gina really blessed us with her attention and care for my wife’s service dog even bringing her a bowl of water on a silver platter and took her out for a short walk. Oh, the food. The food was delicious with beautiful presentation, savory and filling. The ambiance was wonderful and well appointed. I wonderful experience for our anniversary. Loved! From the moment you walk through the door, you feel the historical charm. The mansion turned into a dining experience was something that sets this place apart from other restaurants. Our server was very attentive, patient and kind.
Their crab soup is one of the best soups I’ve ever had in my life! It was full of crab meat and had such a creamy delightful flavor. We devoured the bread and seasoned olive oil that was complimentary. The lamb chops were grilled with a nice glaze. Other friends had pasta dishes and trout that are not pictured. We all enjoyed our meals and the ambience.

We had a lovely dinner. Everyone was very pleasant and friendly from the kitchen staff to the hostess. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very attentive. The architecture was amazing through out the restaurant. If you prefer an outdoor setting they have a beautiful courtyard. Looking for a wedding venue for a small wedding this could be your place. Highly recommend!

From being greeted at the door to exiting happy and full, the service, foods and ambience is wonderful. It is our 41st wedding anniversary so La Scala was a genuine treat. Our server was Gabriel. Always smiling, polite, attentive without being invasive, Gabriel assured our evening was special. House baked focaccia with seasoned olive oil to begin our culinary adventure, Creamy Crab Soup for me and an authentic Caesar Salad (real and present anchovy!) for appetizers, and Mediterranean Chilean Bass for my husband with lasagna al forno for myself. The lasagna was completely and delightfully reminiscent of my Nonna ‘s. Because we’re both involved in the hospitality / tourism industry in Savannah we like to introduce ourselves to management, get menus, business cards, etc. We met Gina – a very gracious host. My service dog was well behaved, and Gina took her out for a walk! I was born nervous and thrilled. I am happy with the entire experience as is my husband and my trained service dog. ☺️ Gina brought Nyla a bowl of cool water – yes – on a silver platter! La Scala was an outstanding experience. We went there tonight for our anniversary (03/11/20). The atmosphere was excellent, food incredible and our server Matt was extremely attentive, friendly and informative. We opted for a 7-course meal which Matt helped us navigate and it was beyond perfection. We started with the octopus appetizer, cheese plate, butternut squash salad, carbonara, filet & lamb entrees and ended with a chocolate torte.
Every dish was crafted beautifully and executed flawlessly. Thank you Matt for making our anniversary special and giving us the La Scala experience.

We actually had plans to go eat at another restaurant but really wanted to try this place out so we decided to hit it up for cocktails and appetizers, unfortunately we had called and they were booked! So we knew it was a long shot but we went anyways, when we walked in we were greeted by Candice the event coordinator and told her we had called and knew they were full but wanted to see if we could sit at the bar. When I tell you she was fabulous I mean it! She was able to get us spots eat the bar and made it possible to have dinner as well! When I tell you the food and service was FABULOUS I am not lying! Pierce and Cheynne at the bar were the best, we had the best time chatting with them getting to know them and just overall enjoyed hanging out at the bar! The food was top notch, from the drinks to the appetizers to dinner and dessert everything was so yummy! Candice took the time to tell us about the history of the house, showed us some of the historical side of it, which was amazing and the house is beautiful. Ms Diana Rogers, the singer, spent time sitting and chatting with us as well! She was such a sweet lady and had a life story to tell! We will 100% be back the next time we are in Savannah and can’t wait to dine with them again!

Just wonderful!! The décor was beautiful. AJ, our waiter, was pleasant and cheerful. The food was AMAZING with so much flavor and cooked to the perfect tenderness/crisp. And oh my the portions were larger than expected – which is fine with me as I enjoyed my meal again the next night. I had the Eggplant Parmigiana as my appetizer, Mediterranean Sea Bass as my main course, followed with the Raspberry Cheesecake. I paired this with the Remo Farina red wine. Delicious… MUAH!
