This place freaking rocks. I’ve never in my life had gas station bbq as good as this. That’s INCLUDING Bucees. 10/10 do recommend. It’s tastier than Bucees and cheaper than Bucees. It was so good I forgot to take a picture of the food before it was almost gone. lol

If you want some killer “gas station food” then come here. But that’s just it. Brisket and ribs were tasty but dry. Turkey and sausage was great. Cole slaw tasted like 3 days old. And what’s with chips? Stop wasting your money making those.

I’d been meaning to check this place out, and I finally did. Looks like they’ve got a few locations around Amarillo, so it must be a local chain. Everything was on point, and the price was surprisingly reasonable. The brisket was juicy, ribs were tender, and cole slaw was tasty. Mitch’s BBQ gets my approval.

Honestly ordered “the Mitch” which I thought would be their go to “let’s show them” platter but I got slivers of ribs..sliced smaller than kbbq. The smmy’s were ok if you ate just the bread cuz guy to chopped to another level..straight beat the shit until it was mush..turkey was dry. Sausage was good. A fresh batch of fried shroom came out watery and bland. Yeah…bbq is dead..should’ve know at the black gloves but I’ll just save my money and eat Wendy’s instead.

First time visiting Mitch’s bbq. The store looked very clean. The store is inside a gas station so it’s very convenient. The food was ok. The chips looked burnt, sandwich’s were good except it would have been great if they used brioche buns and the buns were warm. The fountain drinks were so flat we didn’t end up drinking them. Other wise I loved the lay out of the store. Lots of parking and easy to access.

We are on our way back to Vegas. We needed to stay a night in one of the nearby hotels. The lady at the front desk recommended this place, and it’s actually quite good.i love the brisket and mac and cheese, my son loves the pork ribs. The staff is quite nice too

How are you going to charge $12.00 for a plate, and have the food be so bad where my own dog won’t eat it? I took one bite of everything and was disappointed at how everything was so dry and stale, I got two briskets, two ribs, and two polish sausages, the best has to be the polish sausage, everything else was dry and bland as card board. I’ve had better from a 7/11 in Oklahoma, Texas ain’t all that when it comes to BBQ, Oklahoma has them beat. Don’t waste your time or money.

First picture looks great. I devoured the first slider dumping sauce on it because the brisket was dry. The bun felt … for lack of better words, rubbery? I hit the sausage and was definitely satisfied with the flavor there. The Green chillie mac was good too. But then I grabbed the second slider. Decided to try it without sauce. Something tasted off. So … I spit it out and flipped the bun over. Wallah! Luckily I’m sleeping in my truck, because if I get sick, I’ll head back inside! … To be continued!

Price is good. Service is friendly and good.
Have to say… I’m sending a new convenience store eating a barbecue hamburger that is really tasty for really a great price!

Staying at the RV park next door & this was an easy walk over. This is not a typical Truck stop/gas station restaurant. It is a Restaurant with a truck stop attached .
You can see from the pics the amount of food was definitely worth the prices. Getting to watch the staff member make your plate was fun. He made sure your product was weighed to ensure you didn’t get short changed on amounts. I saw someone complaining about dry meat, well we didn’t see/experience that. Do they not know what BBQ sauce is?
Wife’s turkey was tender, juicy, & had enough to add to her salad today. Her macaroni & cheese with green peppers was delicious. Little too warm for her, so I was the lucky one.
My pulled pork sandwich was great & had enough to bring home for a next day sandwich. I enjoyed the special chips.
Plenty of seating for families.
THEY HAD TEXAS SWEET TEA⭐️ ⭐️.
Parking lot will accommodate any size motorhome of pull RV.
The staff were friendly, quick, keeping seating area clean, great customer service. Look at the staff photo, that is a great team.. I was to give a shout out to Domonic, because he was quick with a smile & kind word.
We will be back.
There is a large dog park, kid’s playground, & covered picnic tables right outside.
