Dropped by the other day and I was blown away! I had the steak quesadilla and the children’s bacon, pickle cheeseburger, and partner had their special omelette, which was a tomato, basil and ham. It was perfectly cooked and extremely crispy and well seasoned hashbrowns. The steak quesadilla and the burger were perfectly seasoned and because of that did not require any hot sauce or ketchup to improve it because you can’t improve upon perfection.

French onion soup was okay. Shaved ribeye Mac and cheese was pretty good until I found a curly black hair in it. I notified the waitress and she said “oh no”. Offered no apology and billed me full price. I can’t say I will be back.

UPDATE with pics! Recently went to Otter House with a friend who is gluten-free. She absolutely loved the gf bread on her reuben but more so LOVED the flourless chocolate cake. She said it was so rich and decadent! Also happy to report that the blueberry maple muffin is delicious!

I live in Ohio, but visit my NY daughter and have visited Otter House twice. The food was excellent both times. There was a wait between ordering and being served, but it was apparent that our food was prepared fresh and served immediately. The view from the dining area overlooks a mountainous river valley vista and the large windows provided an ambiance of natural lighting. The prices are fair for the portion size, and as I mentioned, the food was delicious and definitely not mass-produced. The staff was friendly and efficient. I look forward to visiting again.

My stepdad and I dropped in for breakfast Saturday morning around 8:30. They’ve done a fantastic job with this place! Cozy atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff. The breakfast quesadilla was crispy on the outside with melty cheese, bacon and eggs on the inside. The sausage gravy had great flavor. I poured that on top of my potatoes because that’s what I like to do. I ordered the pie to take home to my kids. They heated it up in the air fryer later that day, the bite I stole was excellent! I’ll definitely return!

This restaurant is a rare find and exceptional in every capacity. If I lived here I would never go anywhere else. Great views, great staff, outstanding food. I can honestly say in my long life the eggs we had were the most perfectly cooked eggs we have ever had. Everything was perfection actually. Whomever is doing the cooking, bless your very existence, the same for the very lovely staff. 🙂

Great to see this open again. Server, Trish, was very personable. Breakfast was great. We said we would split the meal, and she portioned it out into 2 plates. The menu was extensive, an reasonably priced.

The food was delicious. Even though people may find it more expensive than your typical neighborhood diner, I feel that the quality of food and portions are better and worth the price we paid. Staff was quick and attentive.
