We went here to try their All You Can Eat Friday Night Fish fry as we heard it was very good and sells out fast. All of which is true. You get plenty of fish as a starter, yummy cole slaw, and the thin style french fries. You can ask for more fish if you have tummy room. The fish itself is lightly battered, and large filets are used. By the time we were done with our dinner, they were sold out.
Get there early… they start serving at 5pm. We will definitely have this again.

Great food, friendly staff, great atmosphere, and tons of fun events to attend as well. Craft shows, painting classes, etc. happening all year round. This is not just your average bar… they go above & beyond! Our family through multiple generations have many great memories here at the inn. We absolutely love everything about this place!

Cheese curd appetizers followed by an all you can eat fish fry on Friday night or smothered Prime rib French dip sandwiches with beer battered onion rings were served with a smile at this classic family friendly Northern MN bar/restaurant. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Well worth the visit.

Quesadillas were soggy in grease, cheese curds undercooked and when we complained they were put back in the same grease and came out soggy as well. We complained before we paid the bill. No apology and no discount. Place loaded flies. Probably will never order food again.

Stopped with my father in law after shopping in Duluth. We happened to pull up right when a ton of sleds did too but fortunately our food came out really fast and was fantastic. He had the cheeseburger special 2 for 9 and I had a fish sandwich both were great! Waitress did a good job

Island Lake Inn has excellent food. The appetizers were delicious and the pizza is particularly good. The service is fabulous. We had 9 people in our party and our waitress was so friendly and attentive. I would recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely be back.
