Whenever I go to Chinatown or North Beach area, I have stopped by here to get sushi to take home. fresh sushi and every time I am there, kitchen staff always coming out and restocking the fridge with more sushi just freshly made. they must get high turnover because I was eyeballing the roll with avocado and it isn’t even brown (you know what I mean when avocado gets exposed to the air and turns brown quickly). I wished they had tuna or yellowtail sashimi but the previous couple times I went, they only had salmon sashimi available. I just got my usual hamachi roll, tobiko eggs, and pickled veggies.

I asked the cashier if she can just get me wasabi only since I don’t eat the pickle d ginger. the pickle ginger and wasabi is in one container. You grab the chopsticks, condiments, napkins after you pay. Staff is always nice and polite. place have a couple tables and counter seatings. Bright and clean in there.

Washington Square park is just one block away if you want to take your food there to eat while watching Asian aunties and grandma do tai chi. Parking is hard in that area.

Take out sushi Good quality with reasonable prices. The fishes were fresh. The rice was softened. Clean and spacious. Friendly service. The only issue is they shouldn’t put the wasabi together with the ginger to make the ginger very spicy, totally ruined it, I had to throw all away even though I liked ginger very much. And I hope they would have more choices of sushi in future.

I happen to be in the city from Sacramento and had the pier location bookmarked but its closed weekends. I happen to find they had another location open on the weekends. Found parking right front and wait for them to open at 11. The store is bright and roomy with how the layout was so you walk up to the sushi fridge and help yourself to the freshly made assortment of sushi. Then their are 2 beverage fridges with a large assortment of drinks to choose from. Next comes 2 racks of packaged dry goods consisting of chips and other items. You cross over to the other side of the store to the cashier and pay for your items. If you’re taking it to-go they pack it for you. They have all the utensils and sauces at the end of the counter for you to grab and go. If you feel like eating there they have a a row of seats facing the window so you can get a view of the street as you enjoy your newly acquired food. There is also 1 table that seats 2 people away from the window that is where I sat. Staff are friendly and the place clean including the bathroom.

The sushi selection was great and from the items I purchased everything was on point. Rice texture fish flavor and cut size was perfect. No funky smells from any of the fish. I almost wanted to go purchase another round but I’ll wait until my next visit.

The best sushi i have ever had. It was totally worth the price. I got the Nigri mix and it was just amazing. The sashimi was good but not amazing. I totally recommend it!

I stumbled upon this spot on my way to get coffee and decided to stop in—and wow! I had the salmon sushi, lightly seared to perfection, with a fresh seaweed salad and a little mochi on the side. Incredible quality for about $20—seriously one of the best deals I’ve seen in the city.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the space is clean, and the atmosphere is really inviting. This place has everything it takes to be a North Beach favorite. I can’t wait to come back!

I stopped here on my way home from a dentist visit and decided to give it a try. They make fresh sushi and rolls, which they display for you to choose and pay at the counter. Their seating area is very small right now, so you might want to consider taking your order to go, but the food is good. While I was there, they continuously brought in freshly made items to replenish the display fridge where you pick up what you want. I bought a miso soup kit and a salmon roll. When I was at the counter, I told the cashier I was eating here, so he added hot water to the miso soup container. To my surprise, it was very tasty, as was the salmon roll. I was told they plan to add seating on the opposite side of the store on Stockton Street, but for now, you can grab one of the few seats available on Columbus Avenue.

Just such quality fish. I don’t think I’ve ever had fish this good at such a reasonable price. Obviously they’re pre-made and sit in the fridge, so the rice isn’t gonna be omakase quality, but this is the best quality grab-and-go sushi I’ve tried in my entire career. Would for sure visit again

Really fresh delicious sushi! We got the spicy tuna (my fave) avocado roll (so simple, so yummy), the himachi roll, and the omakase nigiri. I’ve also had the salmon aburi before, also one of my faves but not pictured.
