Probably the cheapest drinks in town, and we always like a good billiards table. Servers were fantastic, but the food is pretty mediocre. Nothing labeled as spicy had even a modicum of heat, and it’s just kinda below average Mex-style food. Bar bites might slap on a night out, but it’s not what I’d pick for lunch or dinner.

The Perch is my go to spot. During the day you can actually sit down, grab food, relax, but at night and on weekends it turns into the college bar. It’s loud in a fun way, people are shoulder to shoulder, and you’re almost guaranteed to run into someone you know.

Drinks are solid for the price. They come out quick and actually have some kick, and they’ve got decent stuff behind the bar if you’re not trying to drink bottom-shelf all night. Staff keeps it moving even when it’s packed, which is huge.

Overall: good hang, good energy, easy place to start the night or end it. Kind of feels like home base.

I’m sorry but the food is Horrible…
The worst burrito I ever had…
A gas station burrito might be better than this was.
The people are nice, the service is slow, a lot of wasted space in a confused setting..
Worst thing is the food….
The pork burrito that took a long time a loooong time…..Had very little very very little pork in it..I’d say it was dry but there wasn’t enough to tell…It was cold, mushy and bland… It was a big clump of white rice with refried beans (I think)….
I got about halfway through it and tossed it out …Complete garbage…Gross
It’s a shame the area really needs a good burrito place…

it was overall just… ok.
i went here for lunch having waited a bit of time for them to get past any first issues of being open, but i may end up waiting longer considering my first experience.

walking in, the overhead lighting is very harsh, it felt similar to a hockey rink or something with the hard floors and bright white lights. the space feels very strangely formatted, which i’m sure is to cater for a busy college night. But midday on a weekday left it feeling VERY informal and almost unfinished. The space was quite echoey and plain despite a very window decorations.

Food was good, I got a quesadilla and added protein as well as a cocktail. Things were fine until i saw my tab nearly 40 DOLLARS? for a drink and a quesadilla?! no thank you. It was good and I didn’t have any complaints other than an absurd price for a place that claims to be very affordable.

I’m sure for college kids who are out on a Friday will be pleased but I probably won’t be frequenting occasionally…. I hope to go back and try again maybe in a few weeks….

I wanted to love this place – the owners wrote extensively while it was being set up about the appreciation they had for armadillos, a burrito place I loved growing up. So I did not read any reviews beforehand and tried it out today. I am incredibly disappointed. There is no soul to be found: it is another sports bar with burritos as a cover. It feels like the same owners of pour house or lab and lager. The food was low quality, and the worst part was that I specifically asked the guy taking my order on more than one occasion about the ingredients in the burrito. I specifically asked if anything had red onion and if so to exclude it. I also asked if anything was in the burrito that wasn’t listed. He reassured me that everything was listed, and that there was no onion. Unfortunately, I got an oversized burrito that contained several ingredients that were not listed, – including red onion – which I had repeated multiple times I did not want. I couldn’t even finish my food, which included generic store-bought tortilla chips. If you want a burrito go to Titos. This place not only doesn’t honor or respect what armadillos was, it doesn’t even respect the customer. The only positive I can say is that the bartender taking my order was very pleasant and friendly.

Probably the best burrito I have ever had, and it’s consistently really good, and usually has plenty left over for another meal – they are bombs. Great, friendly and personable service – I go in at least weekly now, and will sometimes have a drink at the bar while waiting for my takeout. Miles, who’s usually behind the bar is a welcoming and kind dude, never met him before this, but he’s the perfect personality to have in the front of the house.

Atmosphere could use some work, but they just opened a month or so ago, and are already making improvements to the ambience.

I really like this place quite a lot.

Looks interesting but can’t seem to stay open on a regular schedule due to code violations. Also seemingly no online presence (instagram, facebook or website) so basically impossible to find out anything.

Will update once I can visit them. They have a podcast setup in the window which is intriguing for a burrito/beer restaurant.

I know that they haven’t fully opened, but I will share my experience I had with them 9/30. My husband and I stopped for lunch and decided to try out the perch since it was open. We were greeted at the counter behind the door. The restaurant and dining area/bar was clean and looked welcoming. It was explained that they had not started a full menu at the moment but could order from the abbreviated set of menus they had at the counter and we could open a tab. My husband was disappointed that despite being told on the window they would have burritos and brews there was not a single burrito on the menu.
We ordered the empanada bombs and southwest egg rolls and chips and salsa. We received a small basket that had a row of chips around a dozen or so and a super small salsa in a plastic cup. I think the food runner immediately recognized our disappointment to the size of the salsa or serving of chips as they immediately volunteered if they would bring us a large salsa and if we wanted more chips we could have them. Again another larger plastic container with a lid. Chips and salsa were good. Then our food arrived. The portion size was really small but the presentation was nice. The food itself was bland. The empanadas were so small the shell soaked up any flavor or the juice the meat inside should have had. The empanadas were mini sized and despite having such small dry filling my husband found a solitary bean inside one and commented filler inside something that already had such a small amount amount of filling and was mostly shell….was confusing and disappointing. My egg rolls were OK at best. The dipping sauce was ok and they did have flavor. Much like the empanadas they were small egg rolls which made the wrapping kinda tough and overpowering of the filling which kinda got lost.
We had to physically go to the kitchen and ask for chips despite seeing people in the doorway standing there and talking. They didn’t ask about our food or if we were happy. We closed out our check and left.
I hope they can get a handle and take my feedback positively as I would love to see a decent Mexican style option in our area, but I thought I would share just to give others a snapshot of their current state and set a realistic expectation of where they currently are in their open.

The restaurant is clean and the workers are friendly.
The restaurant is basically a bar. You wouldn’t know it’s a burrito place right away . It’s freezing inside! We had to keep our coats on. And my burrito tortilla wasn’t heated up. It helps to heat them up before wrapping so they don’t crack. The first few bites were nothing but tortilla. The filling tasted okay once I got to it. Waitress forgot our water and was slow with getting another order to us. We were the only ones sitting down at a booth. All of the other patrons were at the bar. Not sure if we’ll return.

Many of the reviews here are from extremely early on when this business just opened its doors and we’re learning the ropes and figuring things out. Please do not make a decision about coming here based on anything older than a month or two from this post.

With that said… to call me “picky” would be the understatement of the century. I actually have extreme food aversions and am very particular about meat flavor. I have a medication that makes meat that is not fresh taste like metal. The food here is some of the freshest, more flavorful in the heart of Keene! There are so many choices and many delicious options in the area. This place is now one of our local favorites. Give them a try and keep them around for years to come!
