Burgers are not exactly smashed nor are they thin. However! They are very tasty, seasoned well, crisp edges great onion cheese ratio and the buns are super soft. The burger & fries were piping hot when served to us..Huge plus!

Hands down one of the best burgers in Sac right now. The burger is a flavor bomb and always comes out hot and fresh. While the crinkle fries are missed, the tallow fries make the ones from here unique. We keep going back and you should too.
May 25 update – crinkle fries are back, rejoice!

This place is in a ghost kitchen by the entrance to Sac State on Elvas Avenue, so parking isn’t always the most accessible. There also isn’t much of a place to sit as you have to order through a QR code and wait outside. They will deliver food in roughly 15 minutes through a window at the front of the building. The food was really good, though! We got the primo combos and the Dirt McGirt and Strawberry Fields 4eva drinks. All food and drinks had lots of flavor to them and the portions were generous! They definitely do not hold back on the amount of fries they give you. Th combos came with sides of their sauce, pickles, yellow peppers, and a gummy burger. We will definitely come back to have it again!

This is in a ghost kitchen. I ordered the classic combo. Delicious! The pickles, peppers, and sauce all come on the side.
The fries are crinkle cut but small, so they get crispy. The special sauce is good, reminds me of a thousand island dressing with Xtra ketchup. The beef was really fresh and the bun is soft.

Okie Dokies is hands down one of the best smash burger spots I’ve ever been to! From the perfectly crispy edges to the juicy, flavorful patties, every bite hits the spot. The quality of the ingredients is obvious, and the taste speaks for itself simple, bold, and done right.
Their attention to detail and consistency keeps me coming back. It’s rare to find a place that nails a burger like this every single time. If you’re a true burger lover, you have to try Okie Dokies. Trust me, it’ll instantly land on your favorites list.

Not a “real” smash burger. Tasted like a frozen burger that wasn’t fully cooked. (Best smash burger I’ve found in Sac is Señor Burger at the Midtown farmers market food truck ) fries were good, beef tallow is a major plus. The dirty sodas are really good as well. But I wouldn’t rank this. I put it in any lists to be back ♂️

The current French fry is awful. I won’t be coming back until they change it. This is the third version of fries in maybe 2 years. The original crinkle cut fries were made to perfection. It was then switched to a fry reminiscent of McDonald’s which wasn’t terrible but lacked the perfect texture and perfect amount of salt the original had. Now they’ve switched to a battered crinkle cut fry and they’re absolutely terrible. The burger is still good but the fries are awful. No one that can articulate what makes a good French fry likes these kind of fries. This style of French fry is the worst thing to happen to the reputation of the potato since 19th century Ireland.

Love their food. Burgers are consistently delicious, and the sauce is awesome. I’ve been ordering from here since it opened. I have noticed a lot of inconsistency in their ordering/operation times. I can’t ever seem to place an order when I want due to the inconsistency. They are supposed to be open at lunch most days but often end up being closed for an extra day or that their ordering starts hours after their website says they are open. This place has so much potential to be better. Please be more consistent in operating hours! I cannot rely on eating here without knowing I’ll need to wait hours or even days before I can place an order.

Okie Dokies is one of the best burgers in the city. A nice change of pace from the classic Californian produce heavy burger, they offer a no nonsense meat cheese and onion affair. Crispy around the edges, juicy in the middle, with a hint of sweetness from the onion and the buns, it’s the perfect greasy burger. With the latest upgrade to their fries which, I think, may be lightly coated in rice starch or flour to add an extra layer of crispiness, okie Dokies is an all around perfect burger experience.

In the area, got hungry. Decided we wanted cheeseburgers. Okie Dokies was close so decided to give it a go. It was a little strange showing up and figuring out how to navigate the ordering process but it was intuitive and easy. Amazing selection of drinks to go with those cheeseburgers we were craving. There was a little bit of a wait while our order was prepared. We sat on the curb across from the delivery window. Got a text when the order was doneand walked to the window and picked up my order.
Got back in the car go home and eat. We were heading home so we busted out one combo to start on the fries. OMG! AWESOME FRIES! Perfect crispy. Perfect salt. Couldn’t wait to get home and try the burger.
Got home.
OMG! AWESOME CHEESEBURGER! Totally devoured that thing. Excellent bun. Excellent amount of cheese. Even tried to reverse engineer the paper wrapping that held to together when I took my first bite. Best darn cheeseburger I’ve ever had. Seriously. Amazingly good.
Only thing that bummed me out was that the fries in the second combo that had been closed up in the packaging from receipt to home 15-20 mins later were not as good as the freshly opened ones. The packaging held in moisture and created a tiny terrarium with its own little ecosystem. As the food cooled, it hit the dew point and the fries got a little soggy. They were still good, but not as good as the ones we had in the car.
The point is: Do not wait to eat the fries. If you do wait, open the container to let out the steam. Maybe. That might let out too much heat. Will definitely have to return and do more research.
Highly recommend Okie Dokies to anyone who wants the perfect cheeseburger and fries.
