I would consider Carriage House to be one of Burlington’s hidden gems. It was a little hard to find it at first as it was in the back end of Burlington but a nice place to go as it overlooks Lake Ontario. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you can immediately see the kitchen with a small fridge full of fresh seafood. They also have two floors one main floor and the other one for private catering. I really like how the Carriage offers a wide variety of menu as it can serve a lot of people.
You must try their Game Special of the Day as it regularly changes and you don’t know what to expect. This is best for people who are planning to celebrate anniversaries or host corporate events. And make sure you have a reservation beforehand as it can be quite busyt

Probably one of the least impressive dining experiences I’ve had, not sure how they got their google rating. The bread was dry and looked like a grocery store loaf. The appetizer consisted of a few sad salad leaves without flavour. I had a steak as my main with bad tasting boiled vegetables. The steak tasted burnt and dry, the fries looked like McDonald fries but had even less flavour as did the gravy. The drinks were equally as bad. I had a pisco sour which was watered down and came without egg white froth. My friend had a paloma which just tasted like salt. The service was also subpar, servers were slow and inattentive and appeared snobby when questioned about the food.

Beautiful place for an anniversary date. We had the best meals and the atmosphere was very romantic. Started off with escargot and our main was salmon and steak. The portions are decent size and dessert was the cherry on top! Great selection of wine too!

The food is of excellent quality. The octopus was the softest and most unique I’ve ever had. Both the steak and fries were fantastic. For dessert, we had molten lava cake, and the staff even sang a birthday song when serving it, which was a delightful surprise.
Overall, we were extremely satisfied and grateful to all the staff for giving us an unforgettable evening for our birthday and anniversary celebration.

The best restaurant we have been to in Burlington. The service, the ambiance and the food were all excellent. Our server Gabriel was a true professional. Best Caesars salad we have ever had. The salmon and the tenderloin were both excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.

You can hear everything what people are saying at the table beside you. Also, lighting is lacking ambiance. But the food makes up for it!
