Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here today. The ambiance is absolutely lovely!

The service is amazing. Our server was a sweetheart, super helpful with identifying what was vegetarian friendly and modifications.

IMHO, the food is just ok. I had the portobello sandwich, which was good, but I think a full slice of provolone and some more pesto would have made it better. The mushroom itself and red peppers were delicious. The 4 bean salad was decent (I added some feta to the leftovers at home, and that made it perfect!).

The strawberry coconut cake was just ok. The nice thing was that it was not too sweet and also super fresh – we were told it was made that same morning. The downside is that it tasted like it came from a box, in my opinion. But I also bake (my strawberry cake has pureed strawberries so it’s bursting with fresh strawberry flavor) and make my own frostings and vanilla paste, so my dessert expectations are a bit on the higher side. Perhaps adding a touch of coconut extract would help to amp up the coconut flavor or some coconut or fresh strawberries between the layers.

I tried a bite of the grilled cheese and that was tasty. I would have loved to try a soup, but unfortunately none of the soups were vegetarian.

Drinks were reasonably priced. The Cabernet Sauvignon was quite nice, but the sangria was a bit too light in my opinion.

But honestly, the setting and wonderful service makes it perfect to just sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy the view on a gorgeous day 🙂

Hidden gem on lake Morton that is perfect in every way for a lunch date or meet up.
Food is 10/10 – home made, filling, and comforting. Pastry/ cake options I haven’t tried both they look amazing.

Service is impeccable and servers are clearly well picked & well trained.
Beautiful covered patio on the Lake, right next to the beautiful gardens! Would recommend a stroll after your meal to get those digestive juices flowing!

A gorgeous & delicious morning or afternoon outing!

Went for lunch today and won’t return. Lovely setting but food was mediocre and skimpy. Ordered the portobello mushroom sandwich without the bread as I am gluten free. They didn’t have the red peppers. Very small piece of avocado included and limited cheese. Put it on a very few salad greens. Disappointed and hungry shortly afterwards. Plus it was very cold inside by the window despite being dressed appropriately including a down vest.

The scenery and location of this place is beautiful. It’s right by Lake Mirror and the gorgeous garden. The service is also good. But the food is not that good. I would describe it as bland.

What a treat! Food was delicious!
Go and try their Miami Cuban, it was so so Yummy!
Their service was very professional and friendly. Prices are very good so take the whole family out!
The Garden’s landscape was very beautiful and well layout. So much to see and so many native floridian plants and flowers. The koy fish pond was delightful to look at. That view from the Cafe was just the perfect spot to enjoy a great meal by the Lake. This is a hidden gem. What an experience! Well recommended for the whole family.

Cute little place to eat. There are about 6 table and chairs inside and about 10 outside overlooking a lake and beautiful flowers surrounding. Small menu but Great tasting food. Oh! And great cake!!! I got lemon raspberry. I forgot to take a pic it was so good. Live in Clearwater but will definitely visit again.

This hidden gem is worth a wait, if you have to. The food is always great and service too. Can’t go wrong with the Smoked Salmon BLT, or the BLT by itself. French Onion Soup was warm, asked to have it reheated, and was fine. Highly recommend this as your next lunch stop!

How Garden Bistro is only rated 4.6 is beyond me! This place is a Lakeland MUST if you are looking for lunch. The view is beautiful, the food is always fresh, there are always new specials, and we NEVER leave disappointed. Jody, our waitress was really helpful when we could not decide which item to order. She was kind, Informative, and knowledgeable about the menu items listed when we had questions. My spouse and I try to come here as often as possible. I 100% Recommend garden bistro to anyone. As a foodie, this place is UNDERRATED.
