The food was great. The service could be better. Very hurried. The food is good. I agree with others who posted a bit pricy for noodles but it’s Hood River.

I’m glad that Hood River has a ramen option but I don’t find it to be amazing or good value.
I got the black garlic ramen with extra pork and it was nearly $30 after tax and tip.
The broth is very mild. Perfect if you like mild things.
I go here once every few years.

Came in out of the rain to steaming pots and a clean simple layout. Greeted on entry, one long bar style seating. Grabbed a menu and had a seat. Ordered a pot of tea. Cups for tea and water line the back of the bar. Ordered the Ramen, Tori Paitan, with a side of hot chili oil. Very good broth and mix of toppings. Broth was complex, hearty and a perfect counter to the cold rain. Stand out toppings for me were the bamboo, fresh sprouts, egg and shasu. Will definitely go again.
UPDATE: came for a short meeting with others, warning seating only full parties so arrive as close together as possible. Enjoyed tori paitan again, though I should taste around the menu, I enjoy it too much.

This is my second time coming to Mugen Noodle Bar and my experience hasn’t changed. Absolutely LOVE the theme of a ramen bar, the owner is incredibly nice and helpful, plus they just introduced sushi to their menu! (Saturdays only from what I believe.) My BF and I got the curry and shoyu ramen.
I absolutely love it here. I’ll definitely be making this a regular spot to revisit.

Mugen Noodle Bar is so cool! This place is a little slice of Japan complete with a gorgeous wooden noodle bar (outside seating available as well).
Theres a great variety of dishes and beverages. The staff are warm & friendly and the prices are fair. But, the food?
I’ve tried several other ramen places, but Mugen wins the gold medal! Try em out!
Two more tips: their spicy dishes can taste somewhat mild for you lovers of .
That means if you want more heat ask for a side of their chili sauce. That also means means don’t be afraid to try a dish if its marked as spicy.
Also they don’t do doordash & such (most likely because delivery ramen is never as good as fresh from the pot!)

Literally the best Japanese food we have had outside of Japan. 10/10 recommend. Everything was so delicious and fast and the service was just all around great. We met Justin, Christian, and chef Efrain and they were so accommodating! This will be our new spot for sure!

The curry sauce that came with the katsu was really good, and well balanced flavors that gave it so much umami!
They have counter seating now unlike before they had tables at one point. However in Japan, this is very typical.
Fairly priced menu items as well.

This place is great! The shoyu egg was BY FAR the best I have ever had. Didn’t even know they could taste like that. Noodles are hand made, just like my favorite at ramen ryoma. The chashu pork just melted off my chopsticks, it was incredible. Wasn’t expecting to find such a hidden gem in this small store center.

Fun place to slurp ramen on a rainy day sitting at the counter. It felt like a ramen bar in Japan! I really liked the broth in the Tori Paitan Ramen! I also like the thicker Ramen noodles and the tender pieces of grilled chicken. My neighbor ordered a Katsu curry that looked amazing! I am excited to return to try this dish as well as the curry ramen.

Typical bar style seating small but very pleasant atmosphere. They also have nice outdoor tables. Really outstanding Ramen including a hazelnut based broth for vegans that is absolutely delicious even for the carnivore! I recently tried katsu chicken with beef curry gravy that was superb!!
