It was incredibly busy, which was totally understandable since it was the Friday before Valentine’s Day. Our server John was truly amazing. Not only was he quick, even though very busy…. He made time to personally connect with my husband and I. We don’t get out much anymore due to our little baby but John made our experience fantastic. It was a special day for us and we felt very well taken care of. To anyone reading this, please ask for John to be your server, you won’t be disappointed. We will definitely go back again as long and be asking for him!

I went in to sat in the bar alone. It’s a busy night. Order a taco chicken bowl. I am a bit upset that I everyone else sitting next to me was given a chip and salsa and I was singled out at the bar. At least ask if I would like something. (Would have decline regardless but felt singled out). Gave one more star for service as the bartender at least given my an update on my food.

Usually I love coming here, but the experience was ruined for my friends and I because our server, Alexis, was snappy and had an attitude. We were constantly ignored and could see other tables being helped while we were avoided. She would stand in the corner chatting with her friends instead of serving us. When I was ordering, I asked a question about a substitution, and she gave me a look and made it clear it was an inconvenience. She also made a face that made me feel dumb.

Jose Pepper’s is a great place to go for Mexican food. They have a wide variety of items on the menu, including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas. Their food is always fresh and flavorful. The staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. I highly recommend Jose Pepper’s to anyone looking for a good Mexican restaurant.

Avoided eating here since it was a franchise. I regret that and have been missing out. The food is so good! Only negative is country music doesn’t seem to fit the atmosphere. Thursday special is delicious. Server was very attentive.

I ordered the creamy steak enchiladas to go and instead received a spicy ” creamy morita steak enchilada platter” which went into the trash after a few bites and now heartburn from the spice. I will not be going back with the significant change from cheesy to spicy.

I walked in to order food to go for my family. 30 minutes later I still don’t have my food. They were individuals who were seated well after I ordered my food that were served.
Bottom line is that turning over tables and making money is more important than Customer Service.

Had Cantina Nachos this visit and they were great! Still have the best Tacos around that are full of meat! Had the manager visit…just a very friendly local place!

ALWAYS… ALWAYS ask for James!! He’s the VERY best!! He was SO… SO kind enough to give us our meal for free. To express our gratitude, we left him a MASSIVE tip. The service at this location is standard, I think they just sometimes have staffing shortages, but they do their best, and they’re are VERY friendly here!! They’ve got the VERY best chips and salsa!!

Well we will have to say that the location we went to in Overland Park was so much better than the one in Belton. The service was above what we expected after our bad experience we had in Belton. The food was cooked properly and was very tasty and delicious. No complaints on the food at all! Our server never let our chips and salsa go empty, our drinks were never without something in them. By far it was a better experience and we will make the drive further to go to the Overland Park restaurant.
