We ordered cheese and meat plate, all food was bad , tasted expired. Cocktails in ugly plastic glasses even looked dirty, and cocktails were not made good (worst espresso martini ever). Server brings cocktail glasses without tray, but he had dirty nails. Manager should check and work with waiters.

This restaurant, right inside the Viewline Snowmass hotel, is excellent. Ate here for both dinner and breakfast and tried most of the things on the menu. Everything was delicious with the highlights being the sizzling shrimp appetizer and the house salad (I know, an often overlooked highlight but it was delicious).
The ambience was wonderful, warm and cozy at night and light and airy with the big open windows looking out onto the mountain during the day. The restaurant sits right at the windows with beautiful views onto the mountain.
The staff were still working through early ski season ramp up but were attentive and detail oriented.
The continental breakfast, included with our Marriott status, was excellent with fresh flakey croissants and the best oatmeal bar I’ve ever seen (again, an often overlooked highlight, but again delicious).
Highly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

We spent two weeks at the Viewline and ate breakfast at Starks every day. The experience all the way around with sensational and consistent. I want to give a very special thank you to the managers and the staff that really went out of their way to give us a full luxury experience. Thank you Ashish, Dayanara, Richie, Mateo, David and the rest of the team. We can’t wait to return!!!!

Technically the WINE is from before the dinner at Viewline hotel lounge (we wanted to go to little mammoth but it was closed so we ran back to Starks for dinner) and we loved the overlook to the valley, sitting next to a fire.
This review is my opinion from my experiences and I hope it helps you. I think if I go back to the restaurant, I’d try different items on the menu.
FRENCH ONION soup (not pictured) was quite delicious but compared to other French onion soups we’ve had over our years, it was delicious but wasn’t the best we’ve ever had. Hits the spot and tastes good but seemed like a lot of bread for the proportion (or maybe the portion was smaller than expected, idk). It was creamier with less actual onions than other French onion soups we’ve had but still delicious. I’d still recommend it to others 🙂
Ambience is semi-private but not fine dining (would need to be dimmer lighting, different material on the seating, etc…you’ll see when you go) but maybe that decor works for the winter time when most visitors experience Snowmass.
MEATBALLS were delicious but the meal was too much for one person for us so plan to share, split, or take some home (or not finish it like we both did). Sauce was great but odd that they don’t offer to add fresh Parmesan or fresh ground pepper at the table.
Good food, okay ambience, service was adjusting to the season. I’d give 4-stars but I know I’m selective so I gave 5 to be fair. The food is well prepared and the chef and his kitchen can prepare great meals – and that’s what we’re all there for, right?

We had an excellent all-around experience at Stark’s Alpine Grill, which is located within the Viewline Hotel in the Snowmass Mall area. Having a trail race tonight, we stopped by beforehand for some hydration, then returned later for dinner after the race. The food, service, and atmosphere out on the deck were all outstanding. We will definitely be returning.

Since it was winter, there weren’t many options around, but the hotel restaurant in Denver really came through.
The food was surprisingly good — warm, hearty, and well-prepared.
It ended up being a cozy spot to enjoy great meals without going far.
Perfect place to relax and eat well during the chilly season!

The presentation was good, but the food itself was mediocre. The Salmon in particular was simply overcooked, arriving way later than all the others meals. The chocolate cake was seemingly store bought, and it had obviously sat in the fridge for a while. For a family of 4 we paid nearly $400 for our food, which for what we got was surprisingly expensive. The restaurant is rated 3 stars overall, and for the quality, that rating makes sense. If you are looking for a fine dining experience, look elsewhere.

If you are looking for great views, good food and a very friendly atmosphere this is your spot. Could not have been more pleased with our experience at Starks. Thank you for the wonderful service!

Nice patio! Service was sub-par. Food was mediocre . We went for dessert but the Bolognese sounded too yummy to skip- we were there about 8, which maybe was too late- we were the only people on the patio and what looked like very few people inside but our service was pretty bad. We went in to order drinks about 10 minutes after ordering our meal. They never cleared all the dishes from the people before us, but did move them around. the skillet Cookie was great.
