UPDATE: was supposed to get a call on Wednesday from the owner and never received one. So disappointing, will not return and I’ll make sure to tell friends and family not to do business with them going forward. Unfortunate this couldn’t be rectified.
I ordered a birthday cake, as I’ve done from here at least 4-5x. Never an issue. This time around was a nightmare. I received 3 phone calls THE DAY of initial pick up, asking on how to decorate it because they never got an email from the person who manages the emails? Then another phone call telling me never mind, they got the email sent to them. Then another phone call, explaining why I never received a quote for cookies that I asked for…almost a month ago.
The communication between co workers here is terrible. I then got a phone call from the decorator, clarifying AGAIN, how it needed to be decorated because whoever took my order didn’t properly explain it on the order slip.
The cake was a mess. I was told the normal decorator was on vacation, which was pretty clear. I specifically asked for the message not to be written on the cake, but on the board. I requested it in person, in email and on the phone with the decorator. When my friend picked it up, it was on the cake. They explained they could wipe it off and write it on the board.
They realized AFTER they wiped it off they didn’t have the right icing color to fix the smudges on the top. No one working could fix the situation because no one had “authority.” This bakery has been in business 20+ years, it’s ridiculous nothing could’ve been done then and there.
I’m attaching photos of the cake because it surely doesn’t look like it came from a professional bakery, nor was it worth the $50 I paid.

So I tried here today . I got 2 cupcakes and a large lady loc (cream stick pastry) . It was absolutely amazing. The pastry was light and the cream filling was wonderful. The cupcakes, I got a lemon which has a wonderful taste, but was very very dry. I had asked if they were made that day, they said yes. I’m hoping they were wrong, if they were they were over done. The vanilla cupcake had great flavor and was not as dry. I’m wondering if the dried out as the day progressed. But I look for a moist cupcake and it was not. I’m still going back. They have other things I want to try and as I said the cream stick was done amazingly well.

Best bakery I’ve ever been to. I gladly drive a half hour to get goodies for the holidays and special occasions. The lemon cupcakes are to die for and the chocolate muffins with chocolate chips too. The bread has simple ingredients without all of the chemicals which is really hard to find. I can’t wait to try the pumpkin roll this year. They look amazing. Everything is high quality here.

My review is on the blueberry muffins alone. I happened to stumble into this place because i had stopped at the deli next door for some beverages. I purchased a sugar cookie for $3, which was really good, and a blueberry muffin for $3.25. These muffins are so good. No, like for real. If you know a depressed person, get them a blueberry muffin from here. It’ll change their life. I come here a couple times a week now for the muffins. They have me hooked. They’re so so SO good. I couldn’t imagine life without them now. They’re full of blueberries to start out with. And they’re all ripe and sweet. And the muffins have a bit of a crunchy sugary top, and the insides are light and moist. The absolute perfect treat. But they’re sustenance for me. I need them now to survive. I have never spent over $30 here, but if you do, they let you spin the prize wheel. I’ve seen plenty of people do it. They score all kinds of goodies from $10 off, to a loaf of bread, to trays of goodies. I love this place and you should try it too.

Delicious food from this little bakery. I had the pepperoni calzone, had tons of pepperoni in it and the bread was done just right. Muffins are awesome – blueberry and chocolate chip were huge and full of flavor. I do wish the muffins were a little bit more reasonably priced, but everything else is priced reasonably.

My go to local bakery. They offer a great variety of breads & sweet treats. I’ve tried cookie, cake, biscuits, rolls, pie, brownie & much more. I’m usually always pleased! The girls that work there have always been helpful & nice to chat with.

September 2022: ordered the pumpkin muffin, the peach cinnamon muffin, and the sausage and peppers calzone. The food was good and I enjoyed the peach cinnamon muffin a lot and it tasted like a peach cobbler muffin.
Pros:
* Prices are reasonable. I think that I only paid $10 and some change for everything.
* Small, quaint bakery with not a lot of room to move around inside. However, they had tables full of discounted baked goods that people were snatching up.
* Good food.
Cons:
* The sausage was tasty, but I prefer mine to be chopped up into smaller pieces. Not bad, but made the calzone appear like a fancy pig in the blanket.
Conclusion: I will return.
