Nice little taco place next to the ice hogs stadium, got the steak burrito and Birria tacos. Burrito and tacos were really good. Everything tasted fresh, not greasy. Also, the horchata was great too. Will definitely come back, moderate prices not too expensive 13.00 for the burrito 13.00 for the 3 birria tacos

Yet another adventure to share, taco’s today was my choice in Downtown Rockford! I’ve always wanted to try this place so, today was my day for it! I was with two of my friends where one ordered Barria tacos, the other chicken and I had the ground beef. I tried the avocado salsa which was great on my tacos. It complimented the ingredients nicely together. The menu is a create your own method to choose the desired ingredients you want on your tacos. It was around lunchtime when we arrived so the rush wasn’t there yet. You can have a choice of a fountain drink or grab a bottled drink of your choice. There was a nice little dining area for you to eat your food at with high and lower tables to sit at. It looked like they had homemade cookie’s to get as a desert which reminds me that they also have Horatcha to drink, too! I would say go check it out, try something different for a change. The atmosphere was comforting and the service was sweet!

I would very much consider myself a taco fan. And Cantina Taco had me cheering for joy! I’m so very pleased with my experience that I can’t wait to come back, yes, it’s that good!
I fortunately went on a Tuesday and got the special taco trio that also comes with free rice and beans. You can also choose whatever salasas you’d like to enjoy with your meal. The tacos were so fresh, so flavorful, almost otherworldly in a sense that I wished for each succulent bite to never end. Even the rice and beans had incredible depth of flavor, and I’ve had some very bland sides from other local taco places so this really sets the bar high.
They have so many other options for you to choose, like burritos and rice bowls, quesadillas and nachos, the list goes on and on.
The servers are very kind and courteous and well bring your food right to you instead of just calling your name and waiting for you to come fetch it. The atmosphere within is very bright and colorful with plenty of seating and the music is just at the right level to hear but not be too loud.
I can’t wait to visit again and try everything on the menu!

Wife got chicken tacos, the chicken was dry, seemed completely unseasoned, tasted just like canned chicken, and tortilla was extremely soggy.
My birria tacos were barely fried, not crispy at all, but decent tasting, definitely overpriced for what it was.
The rice tasted and smelled really strange.

12 bucks for a steak Burrito is Crazy work. They tell you its build your own. So everything they should normally put on a burrito still cost you extra even though on their website it says $0 as you build. Like do they really think people out here is that stupid. You are still charging to add to the Burrito. “Price Gouging” I know the economy is bad, but god damn. No Burrito should cost $12 unless you were adding extra meat and extra everything else.

At 4 dollars a steak taco, I was expecting a delicious taco. What i received was anything but! Whatever the ground meat was in that taco was not steak! It was dry and has the falvor of card board! Chips and salsa were good, but that was about it. Overall, parking was tough to find, and the food was sub par. The food gods did not smile on me this time!
