We came to Burge’s just before the Razorbacks v. Red Wolves game. We were the only Red Wolves fans in the restaurant, but the staff treated us all the same, because truly, you can’t get better service than at Burge’s. It was pretty obvious that this was the first time my boyfriend and I went to Burge’s, and so the staff that was there went above and beyond to make sure we had the Burge’s experience. While we were still wondering what to order, they had us sample their famous Smoked Turkey Salad, aka Turkey Crack- and they’re right, that salad is Turkey Crack because we wanted more. Luckily, they sell containers of it in their fridge! I ordered the 3 piece Catfish Plate while my boyfriend got the Smoked Turkey Melt. We waited maybe 10-15 minutes for our food, but the staff kept us company, chatting with us about the food and the restaurant, and the vibe and decoration of the restaurant is entertainment in itself. Our food came, and genuinely, I wish I got the Smoked Turkey Melt. It was SO good. One of the workers came up to give us some free coleslaw to add to the Melt to make it “Mama’s Style,” and I have to say, if you order ANY sandwich there, make it Mama’s Style. Your welcome. The catfish was good, but the real star of my plate was their Green Tomato Relish. I should have asked if they sold jars of it because it was so good. It was incredibly sweet, but naturally so, not the kind of sweet that will knock you out because of all the added sugar. If you’re going to Little Rock, stop at Burge’s, not just for the Mama’s Style sandwiches and their amazing Green Tomato Relish, but for the service. They’ll make you feel like one of their own!

Burge’s is a true gem. The food is fantastic, their service is top-notch, and the atmosphere adds to its charm. I recommend the turkey melt for a quick lunch. Will be a returning customer for sure and will recommend to friends in the area. Five Stars and will recommend to all.

I can’t believe this has been here all this time and I’m just now going here. It’s a fun place that feels like I’m stepping back in time to my childhood. The good is all really fresh and delicious. I had the smoked turkey sandwich and onion rings, which sounds so basic, but it was really satisfying. Other at the table all had other things and all of it was delicious. I’ll be coming back again soon, and I recommend it. I will say the parking lot is a real pain, so be prepared to deal with that, but otherwise, great place!

Great food and great service. This family owned restaurant runs like clockwork. The whole atmosphere is lively and fun. I never knew they catered, definitely will give that a try. The smoked flavor in the meat is great. They hand squeeze the lime sour and it’s very tasty. Overall it’s a great lunch destination.

First time in a long time to eat here. As advertised, the fried pies, apple and peach for us, were delicious. The regular barbecue sandwich for me and the 2 piece chicken meal with baked beans for my cohort.

I’m traveling this week for my 41st high school reunion and took the opportunity to stop off for a smoked turkey sandwich at Burge’s in my old neighborhood. Some things get better with time and this place is on that list. The simplicity of a sandwich on buttered white toast with smoked turkey, lettuce and mayo is absolutely divine. Keep up the great work!!!

I’ve been eating at Burge’s since 2006 and I’m happy that when I moved back into state, it was just as delicious as ever! My daughter loved it here too and always asks to come.

Great place to go to for state fair style foot long corn dogs. Mind you they serve an assortment of smoked foods & salads, but that’s what initially caught my eye. The staff was friendly, but I felt uncomfortable with the states from the patrons…kind of made me feel like blacks didn’t visit their establishment too often. That being said, I would come back to try other foods…especially the fried pies.

I don’t live near so I haven’t been here in years. It is even better than I remember. I swear that they have the best sweet tea with lemon in three counties. I had the Po Boy smoked ham sandwich. It was wonderful. I highly recommend that you come soon.
