The Butcher Baker is a local-first market, kitchen, and bar in Midtown Ocean Springs. We work with Gulf fishermen and Mississippi farms to bring fresh, honest ingredients straight to your plate. Every cut, loaf, and sauce is made in-house. Pick your cut from the market case and we’ll tag it, fire it up, and plate it hot or grab it to take home. Our menu changes daily based on what’s local and in season, from wood-fired pizzas and hand-cut steaks to weekend brunch and old-school TV dinners. Behind the bar, we keep things just as intentional. Expect rotating craft cocktail menus & local brews. Whether you’re here for dinner, a drink, or to stock the fridge, this is Ocean Springs’ spot to slow down, eat well, and feel like a regular.

Great little place. I loved the ambiance and decor. The food was great and so was the service. They offer a tasty and unique selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. We came here from out of town and this place will stay on the itinerary for next time.

This place was not on my list to try during our visit, As soon as I saw a sample menu.l, I changed my list. The night led with a few imaginative and delicious cocktails. These were accompanied with a caviar bump. I was skeptical at first and gave it a try after. We ordered a ton of share plates and everything was delicious. I liked that they go out of their way to source locally and seasonally. After a long, loud, fun chat with the owner and bartender, we left feeling like we met new friends. We are excited to go back.

I came here to celebrate National Lobster Day, and let me tell you — they nailed it. I had the lobster BLT, and it was hands down the best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. The lobster was perfectly cooked — tender and flavorful — paired with crispy bacon, sweet juicy tomatoes, and just the right amount of mayo on toasted bread. Absolute perfection in every bite.
The vibe is warm, welcoming, and effortlessly cool — perfect for a date night, dinner with friends, or even a solo treat-yourself evening. The staff is the real deal: friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Whether you’re ordering a perfectly crafted cocktail or asking for dinner recommendations, they know their stuff.
And just when I thought the meal couldn’t get any better — the Dubai chocolate cheesecake blew me away. Whatever you do, don’t skip dessert. It’s clearly crafted with the same care and creativity as the rest of the menu.

I knew I needed a brisket for the weekend party. Mike made it happen. He ordered and trimmed a brisket for me to pickup. I chose to cook it at my house (for the experience). The cut was high quality and a crowd pleaser. We’ll be back for more special orders.

We tried their brunch today and it was really great! We shared an order of beignets fried in beef tallow, I got the Mike muffin, and my spouse got the creamed braised eggs along with two cocktails. They clearly take a lot of care in their preparation, everything was seasoned and cooked very well. The best brunch we’ve had here in Ocean Springs!

Run, don’t walk to Butcher baker! We’ve been twice now, once for lunch and once for pizza Thursday. Both times the food was excellent, and specifically the bacon pizza and wagyu pastrami sandwich were phenomenal. Enjoyed brunch with family at Butcher Baker!! I LOVED their inviting atmosphere and the chef driven menu, which was super fresh and delicious.
My omelette was cooked perfectly, and the vibrant salad complimented it beautifully. I’m still thinking about them… mmm. Bloody Mary was great too, with a homemade jerky and pickled carrot in it! Tasty and fun. My husband and parents were all impressed with what they ordered as well.
Everyone there was friendly, knowledgeable and patient with us, and I appreciated that so much! It made our family outing very enjoyable and relaxing. Mom saw homemade pastries on the counter looking cute and delicious so she couldn’t resist grabbing some to go. Then we “just had to try” their homemade pop tarts on the ride home, which was fabulous too!
A huge bonus for me was seeing lots of local & regional stuff featured throughout the menu, and even from the bar. Yay supporting local!!! The bar and cocktail menu looked amazing as well… I can’t wait to go back and try the happy hour and dinner soon.

Amazing place! Bar seats were the most comfortable seats. Our bartender, she was absolutely amazing and kind. Owner came around and talked with us and gave us the perfect oyster to try, freshly opened. Everything made from scratch except ketchup and mayo!! Mimosas were made from freshly squeezed oranges right in front you. The smash burger was the perfect portion size and garlic aioli was delicious!!! The oysters we’re delicious! The fries were amazing too. 20/10 recommend. Cute, cozy atmosphere and everyone was friendly.
