Very delicious food! We got a ramen and a rice bowl theh both were delicious. The ramen was called Spicy TanTan Men and was super flavorful. The rice bowl was called Mentaiko which was also really tasty. The ambiance was super nice and had a great vibe. Would definitely recommend this ramen spot!

Our server Kenny was very kind and helpful with all our questions. All service members were kind and attentive. I enjoyed my hojicha tea while dining on Marufuku bites (Japanese steam buns with homemade pork chashu) as an appetizer and Chicken Paitan ramen. It was flavorful with the perfect portions of chicken (incredibly juicy), green onions, mushrooms, sprouts, and seasoned soft boiled egg. My husband also thoroughly enjoyed his Hakata Tonkotsu ramen! If you like spicy, I recommend ordering your ramen medium. When dining in you have the option to increase your ramen spice level at your table. Overall the experience was great, we will definitely be dining here again! Our next visit will be to try their happy hour options M-Sun 3pm-5:30pm. Hope you enjoy as much as we did!

The ramen was okay overall. It didn’t have the rich, authentic tonkotsu flavor I was expecting, but it was still decent. The service was fast and attentive, which made the experience better.

Fantastic experience at Marufuku Ramen in Irvine. The ramen was excellent, deep flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. Everything came out exactly as it should.

Service was top-notch. Rene was amazing, friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome without being overbearing. That kind of service makes a big difference.

Also, thanks to Nixia for the referral, great recommendation.
Highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back.

Have been there several times. I really enjoy the Yasai Temura and the several option provided. Very tasty. Unfortunately, they only provide 1 vegan/vegetarian ramen option and its super spicy, no levels. Couldn’t taste the broth cause it was so spicy. Thumbs down!

I was really looking forward to trying this place based on its high ratings, but it ended up being one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve had in the past two years of exploring new spots.
We ordered three dishes:
Brussels Sprouts – Usually one of my go-to items, but these were deep-fried and completely lacked flavor. Just greasy with no seasoning or balance.
Fried Shishito Peppers – The peppers themselves were fine, but the dipping sauce was off-putting and didn’t complement the dish at all.
Vegetarian Ramen – This was the biggest letdown. The broth had zero depth or flavor, and overall the dish felt flat and thrown together.
To make it worse, the vegetarian options were very limited and poorly executed. If you’re vegetarian or looking for plant-based dishes, this is not a good place.
I rarely write negative reviews, but this meal felt like a total miss — especially given how well-rated the restaurant is.

We were seated quickly upon arrival, and our waiter came right over. I asked for Japanese beer recommendations, and he suggested the Echigo beer—which I found delicious. It was an excellent recommendation, and he remained attentive throughout our visit. My husband and I ordered the Japanese buns, which were exquisite. We both had the Hakata Tonkotsu ramen, and it was good. The restaurant’s location is great, and the space is comfortable, clean, and visually appealing.

My family and I love Marufuku Ramen! This place is delicious and convenient. The staff is always super friendly and attentive and food comes quick. This place is great for kids, too. We have two young children and they always bring them kid plates/bowls (that won’t break if they fling them off the table) and cutlery. Definitely try the Marufuku bites and my go to is the tonkotsu dx.

First: the stinginess. Refused to fill up the broth. No straws. The toppings were so sparse I started wondering if this was some sort of minimalist art installation—Ramen, but make it conceptual. A single sad scallion floating like driftwood. Protein? Present in theory. I’ve had eye contact with more substantial portions.

Then there’s the service. Time moved differently here. Super slow. This place assumes you’re not going anywhere because you’ve already waited too long to leave.

Now, the noodles. Oh, the noodles. Or whatever they used to be before dissolving into mush. These weren’t noodles so much as noodle memories. Watery, bloated, and completely surrendered to the broth—which itself tasted like it had been waved at some bones once and then heavily diluted out of guilt. Slurpable? Yes, but only in the way soup is slurpable when you give up on chewing.

And here’s where I go on a tangent, because ramen is supposed to be a thing. A balance. A craft. A moment. Somewhere along the way, this place decided that effort was optional and that customers wouldn’t notice. But people notice. Especially when they’re paying good money for a bowl that feels like it was assembled during a staff meeting about cutting costs.

By the time I finished—out of stubbornness, not enjoyment

Would I come back? No.
