Gone by this place for years. It was finally time to see why it’s been a Conover institution since 1933.
The burger was good, cooked as requested. The Bun was toasted. Bonus points for that. The fries seem like they were a whole potato a short time before they hit the frier. The chicken strips were acceptable. Then……the fish sandwich was legit. One of the good ones.

Deep dish pizza is AMAZING! No wonder everyone up in the area suggests it. Took about an hour which is typical but we snacked on the mozzarella logs and cheese curds for an appetizer which the mozzarella logs are nothing I’ve ever had anywhere.

Came across this gem during a weekend of 4-wheeling. The service from the bartender was top notch, a double was actually a double. The food was even better, our group started with the cabin bites, which you absolutely have to try! Fish Tacos, saturday prime rib & prime rib sandwich were all incredible. Will definitely return on our next trip to the area.

Food is great, just don’t go there for the customer service. Called ahead to order a pizza to go and showed up early to have a couple drinks while waiting on the pizza. Got told to wait outside instead. Told the bar tender we were early because we wanted to order a couple drinks and he said okay you can sit at the bar but if anyone comes in you will have to move. Told the bar tender the drink order and he cut me off mid sentence and told me other people were in line ahead of me. Proceeded to leave the bar and not take anyone else’s order. He came back to take the order of the “people in line ahead” of me and they said they weren’t sure what they wanted. Attempted to order drinks again and the bartender wouldn’t take the order. Waitress handed us the pizza and we left. Pizza was good at least. Service is down the drain though.

Your typical Pub until you try the food. From breaded steak appetizer, broasted chicken to the delicious thin crust pizza.
It’s all good and the service is exceptional.
Don’t even get me started with the whiskey old fashions.

Snowmobilers – parking is available in a lot right across the street about 200ft south of the turnoff for wild turkey. The plow made a big snowbank between the trail and the lot so it was not obvious, but you are able to cut through.
Great food and service. Great soups and the breaded wings were the best of their kind in my recent memory. My complements to the chef and to the well-mannered blackhawks fan behind the bar.

Great food, had the log bites – amazing (forgot to get a photo)!! Deep dish and pan also equally as good. Anna is a great bartender and very attentive.. A must stop, atmosphere was good, wish they had a juke box playing as that would have wrapped the whole experience up too

This is by far our favorite pizza in the northwoods. They can have crispy, cracker crust all the way to deep dish. It’s all delicious. The cheesy garlic bread is also a favorite. Anna is the best waitress and makes a perfect brandy old fashioned. I recommend making reservations for dinner as it is a busy spot. Everything is homemade and worth the slightly longer wait.

We had a pan pizza crispy crust. 10% off on Thursday. Cheese sausage black olives and onions, so good! Get the small for 2 people, so much to eat. Plenty to take home. I would definitely eat here again. Delicious!

If you are headed down 45 in Conover, Wisconsin. You should give this place a try. We travel in a 45 RV and have a hard time finding a place to stop. This was great stop for us. Quality of food was great and the server were kind as well.
