We chose to order to go and took the food back to our room. We ordered some local specialties and thought they were very good. The Navajo stew was especially enjoyable—rich and flavorful, and it paired really well with the flatbread that came with it.

After reading many negative reviews beforehand, I felt that choosing the local specialties might be a safer option than ordering typical American items like burgers or fried chicken—and for us, that turned out to be the right choice.

Visited in May (2025) so not too crowded. Was able to get a table right away at 8 pm. My wife and I shared a 3-piece fried chicken dish with mashed potatoes and veggies – really tasty and perfectly cooked. And the server kindly split it into two plates without our even asking. We also had the chips and salsa which were some of the best we have had. Crispy and fluffy and salty chips – excellent, and the salsa has a nice kick and is also excellent. On top of that, there are several tables with windows overlooking the Valley and all tables have a view. Sure, hotel food is a bit pricey, but this was an excellent casual meal with a great view. Recommended!

Would not eat here if you can possibly avoid it! Ordered 2 chicken tender dinners, already ate one full chicken tender before I realised the chicken was fully raw and pink on the inside. Both of our meals were completely undercooked!!! Unbelievable and extremely dangerous!!! Told our server I would not be paying for our meal, we still had to pay for our drinks. Outrageous. I must say our server was lovely and very apologetic. It’s a pity because the hotel and view are beautiful, very unfortunate experience at the restaurant.

When we had dinner here, we had to wait about 45 minutes to get a table and another 30 minutes for our food.
My burger was dry and the bread soggy. The fries were not crunchy and the fried chicken was not great either. Some of the worst food I have had in the US.
Prices were fair, especially considering that there is no other restaurant anywhere close and the distance that the ingredients have to travel to this remote location.
The staff did their best to keep people happy and the view over monument valley is magnificent.

The breakfast buffet is included for hotel guest, but was not great even for those standards. Food is served on paper plates with plastic cutlery (I do not comprehend how this can still be done) and doesn‘t include any fresh fruits or healthy alternatives.

Avoid if you can. We took our chances and overpaid for mediocre food, walking away unsatisfied. Server was ok and the view (as named) is what you pay for, but the food is lacking.

The Arizona Spicy chicken was 3 pieces of bland fried chicken that was dry and seemed as if it was cooked hours earlier. The “spicy” part was a plastic little container with sliced pickled jalapeños.

The John Wayne cheeseburgers may have been 1/2 lb, but reminiscent of pre-pressed low quality patties topped with cold slices of unmelted cheese.

The Johnny Depp wrap was poor deli meat and cheese wrapped in a tortilla for $20+

Be warned , the options are limited , you need to plan ahead. Move along pilgrim

The view was definitely the right choice! Although I would prefer the fries a little crisper and more American . (That’s just me) The service was fantastic, and I couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere. The whole view itself really completed the whole thing. I got the southwestern BBQ burger, and it exceeded my expectations! Like I said before, the fries were great but not fantastic. I loved my time at this restaurant and highly suggest it to all! Best Monument Valley restaurant you’ll find. (And if you find a tour leader named Richie, immediately tell him you’re booking a tour with him )

It’s definitely a beautiful view, but the restaurant food is nothing special and pricey. No vegetarian options, which is really sad for the amount ppl that visit young or elderly. Not to mention, dinner is only 5pm-7pm. That sucks being that there is not a lot of places to eat at. On our 2nd night, we ended up going to Goulding restaurant 10 minutes away, which was way better environment and a variety of food options. Server’s were attentive and greeted us with good vibes and good food !!!!

The food here is similar to the rooms. Not a lot of substance inside, but the ambiance outside makes being there, special. Rated low because of value. The food we ate seemed straight out of the freezer. Nothing better than a high school cafeteria – except 10x more expensive. Service was average. Limited menu items. (See my pics)

I recently stayed at the hotel. Dinner here was okay. Not spectacular. Just okay. I had the John Wayne burger when I visited recently.

Breakfast was not good at all, especially the eggs. Everything tasted overcooked.

Loved this place and it was pitch black, so no view to counter anything. I got the chili and pork soup with a side of corn and it was superb! I think the key here is to get local dishes or ask your server what they would recommend. I get the sense that if you’re ordering a burger or a grilled cheese yes it just came off a truck (and so did you for that matter!) the staff here is very friendly, young, and vibrant. Highly recommend the stew!
