Maverick is the only truly artisanal bean to bar chocolate company in the region, so we had to make the trip while in town. If you appreciate small batch production of high end foods, you will want to check them out. We bought several bars and the cocoa powder, and the product is fantastic. It comes with a steep price tag, but that is to be expected with a business of this nature. We will plan on visiting again when the production facility is open so that we can tour!

Exceptional chocolate requires care, and the owners of Maverick do care about the sourcing and production of their chocolates, which they oversee nearby in their own factory.
