We went and ate at Oscar’s Mexican Restaurant in Merkel today. Ordered their menudo, street tacos plate and their chicken tacos plate they were all great.

Driving down the interstate, I saw a sign. “OSCARS MEXICAN RESTAURANT” so we stopped. Once inside we ordered. The taco on my plater was one of the best I have ever eaten. The rice was crunchy, not a fan. The other items were also good. Should be back for the next item on the menu.

Everything at this restaurant is amazing, from the fried jalapeno poppers to the chicken fried steak (which is huge). The staff is very friendly and attentive and the prices are very reasonable. I definitely recommend stopping in and giving them a try.

Niyan was fast and courteous. He went out of his way to serve us. The fajitas were great with just the right amount of spice and so juicy!!! It’s our first time here but we can’t wait to come back.

Went to lunch with a elderly friend and we both had plenty of great tasting food with very good service. Unlike a previous complaint we DID NOT have to prepay but we did eat in so maybe that why the complainer had to prepay ( or likes to complain about everything) who knows. Plus it’s a whole lot better tasting and cheaper than that place close to the medical clinic downtown.
