The chicken is grilled well and the rice is good. What lets down the standard teriyaki plate first and foremost is the sauce—it has a very light taste and doesn’t add much to the otherwise perfect chicken and rice. The accompanying salad needs to be separated for takeout. It was too warm even from a short drive, with unsatisfactory greens and a flavorless dressing. The gyoza is just fine.
The service was great. We came in and ordered a couple takeout plates and the gyoza and had our order complete in no time at all. Extra sauce available upon request and I do recommend it for their sauce.

This is Bellingham’s best spider roll! The man who makes it creates such a neat and fresh roll full of ingredients. This is my brother’s and I’s favorite place for Japanese. It may not have the best selection of bento options, but the combo dinners and sushi are great! The owners are also lovely and the family is so kind. Thank you for being in Bellingham!

Got the Sunset roll. Salmon, Alvarado, and cream cheese. Very good. Looks like actual salmon and taste fresh. Goes well with white rice. Will come again. Has bento box specials. Might come back to try those. Service is prompt. Single server as far as I can tell. Interior looks as if it is meant to be like fast food. Hardwood chairs and tables. Meant to eat fast and go I think.

I’ve only ever had the sashimi/nigiri/sushi rolls here, but their prices and quality can’t be beat with those items. Delicious squid and red clam, and again, best prices I’ve found as someone who loves more non-typical sashimi options. Coming from Seattle I’m used to being charged an arm and a leg- but here I can really spoil myself with delicious raw fish for under $40! And for the average person it would be closer to under $20. Yum. I’m hungry just typing. I’ll be coming here for dinner tonight!

I was honestly disappointed. The sushi felt overpriced for what it was … the portions were small and the taste was pretty average, nothing memorable. For the price point, I expected better quality and fresher flavor.
Also, this isn’t really a full restaurant experience , it’s more of a small spot in a plaza, so the ambiance and setup are very basic. That’s fine if the food makes up for it, but in this case it didn’t.

Their beef and chicken teriyaki is delicious, egg rolls were good too! Service is usually fast, took 10-15 minutes for our take out order. This place is awesome

In my opinion they have the best beef teriyaki in town. I don’t much care for the sauce they use in the salad but the rest of it is delicious. I also love their nagiri sushi.

The food here always tastes fresh and delicious, especially their sushi. The crunch roll is just insanely good! It’s always my go to place when I want Japanese food in Bellingham!
