The lobster sticky rice is unbelievable but the real GOAT of that menu is the salt and pepper egg tofu.

the food is exceptional, a bit pricey but is worth it if you’ve never tried lobster like this before! the salt and pepper tofu is super flavorful be careful cause it is super hot in the middle, the vegetables were tasty but a bit old so kind of bitter over all, if you are ordering shrimp please go without shell. The windows and glass exterior and interior looked really good from the inside good vibes 4.6/5

Went to experience this place because of course their twin lobster and sticky rice is viral. The place is well lit and looks clean. Customer service was spot on, no problems at all, very attentive. We had the viral sensation #301 and the beef short rib with black pepper. I will say the beef short rib had great flavor. The only issue was it was chewy. I was not impressed by the twin lobster and ginger sticky rice. There was hardly any flavor to the rice unless you got a piece of ginger. It is market value so we paid $88 for 2 lobsters. I will point out we got it without the pork.

Ordered a Shrimp dish to go. Didn’t expect shells and NOT deveined . I Know this is not uncommon in Chinese cuisine.
Unfortunately as an American is was unappetizing. At the same time it was flavorful and delicious.
Decor contemporary and attractive, with wonderful aromas.Servers could not have been more efficient and courteous.
Pricing toward the high end of average.
Parking on side street unmetered and easy.

Got three proteins and one veggie dishes and all are simply amazing. The lobster sticky rice is so good. Lobster is so fresh and chewy, which is how you know it’s freshly caught and cooked. Sticky rice is very well seaboard. Also got the 葱烧脆皖鱼, the fish is actually super tender and chewy. Also had a 尖椒猪颈肉, which is tender pork neck areas cooked with green pepper. Very tasty and pairs up nicely with rice. For veggies we got 菜心, very fresh! Parking isn’t hard on a Sunday. Will def come back!

I recently stopped by JM Seafood (Wing Yip Chop Suey Restaurant) in Chicago and had a really satisfying experience. It’s one of those low-key neighborhood spots that doesn’t try too hard, but delivers exactly what you’re craving. The portions were generous, the flavors were bold and comforting, and everything tasted fresh and made to order.

I especially liked how quick the service was — perfect for takeout on a busy day. The staff kept things simple and efficient, and the prices felt fair for the amount of food you get. If you’re in the mood for classic Chinese-American comfort food without the fuss, this place definitely hits the spot.

omg – i def recommend going with someone who knows the chinese names of the dishes, bc i was pretty lost (the translations are crude lol), but my “eggplant and chicken in fish pot” was GREAT. so flavorful and warm, it hit the spot. it also easily made two meals. bonus: the complimentary house tea was great)

The best Chinese food in Chicago!!! This place is always packed but the wait is worth it. I recommend the lobster sticky rice, any of the salt and pepper dishes, the chicken and tripe soup, and iced lemon tea. I have tried so many of their dishes throughout the years and there was never a miss. Loved going here for dates, celebrations, or just any occasion.

First off, when Asians are sitting and spending money to eat in Asian restaurants, you should know it’s good and authentic.

Walked in and there were 4 older Chinese gentlemen sitting and eating.

The place was clean, customer service was great.

I came for the viral lobster sticky rice and the server asked if I eat pork, which I do not. I’m so grateful for that so I was able to get it without the pork.

We also had the lamb cumin skewers, Mongolian beef and passion tea. Everything was fire.

I came here with my friends to celebrate my birthday, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, the service was incredible, so welcoming, attentive, and kind. The food? Absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We came in with empty stomachs and left full, happy, and in the best mood.

What truly stood out was how thoughtful and accommodating the staff were. We had ordered a lobster sticky rice dish, and after it arrived, we realized it had pork in it, which I can’t eat for dietary/religious reasons. The team was beyond understanding. They took the dish back without hesitation and kindly remade it without pork. They never made me feel uncomfortable about it, which I deeply appreciated.

To top it all off, they surprised me with a free dessert for my birthday, which was such a sweet touch. They truly went above and beyond to make the night special.

Thank you to the amazing staff for making my birthday so memorable. I’ll absolutely be coming back, and bringing more friends with me next time!
