First Sri Lankan restaurant my husband and I went to here in USA. This was the closest to us and since we were missing Sri Lankan food so much we went here to have a taste. We had lamprais, sri lankan style chicken fried rice and hoppers which included 1 egg hopper and 4 plain hoppers it came with coconut sambol and fried rice came with chili paste. All reminded us of Sri Lanka and it was worth the visit. We will definitely go back.
Plenty of parking available in-front and no reservation required we just walked in and got a table for two. Highly recommend the place!

Awesome Sri Lankan food. We had String hoppers , Rice and curry with fish, hoppers, hot batter cuttlefish. And watalappam for dessert. We ordered mutton rolls, Kottu, Fried Rice as take away. The food was truly great. And had good Sri Lankan spice level. And it’s conveniently located. We were driving toward I95 north and the detour was only like 5 minutes. We met the owner and had a great time. It’s a true Sri Lankan experience.

It’s a rare find. Amazing dishes, cozy vibe, friendly staff. Must try, if you are looking for Sri Lankan food. They also have a small grocery in the back, if you are need of any items from Sri Lanka.

We had a wonderful experience at Sigiri Restaurant in Edison, NJ! We started with the fish patties as appetizers—crispy on the outside and full of flavorful filling. For the main course, we enjoyed rice and curry, which was rich, aromatic, and truly reminded us of home-cooked Sri Lankan meals. The Sri Lankan iced coffee was a perfect complement—smooth, slightly sweet, and refreshing.

For dessert, we had curd with treacle, which was a classic and satisfying way to end the meal. We also did a takeout of hoppers and egg hoppers, and they were just as delicious later on—soft, crispy-edged, and perfectly cooked.

The service was warm and welcoming, and the authentic flavors made it a memorable visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy real Sri Lankan cuisine in New Jersey!

Conveniently located for travelers on the NJ Turnpike, this Sri Lankan restaurant offers a delightful dining experience. We enjoyed almost all the dishes we ordered. The kottu roti, hot battered cuttlefish, and hoppers were particularly good. The watalappam was also very tasty, though the caramel pudding was a bit disappointing. Unfortunately, the lamprais didn’t quite meet our expectations.

Overall, it’s a good Sri Lankan restaurant and worth giving a try.

Very nice decor. Rice and curry was good. The mutton curry was delicious. String hoppers were hard and stale instead of soft and moist. The guy guaranteed it was fresh, not frozen but that was not accurate. Not edible and had to throw away. A rip off.

Lots of parking spots.

Extra fee if you pay by credit card instead of cash.

Love, love , love the food here. I was searching for something that has home cooked Malaysian Indian/ Sri Lankan type of food and got so lucky when we came across Sigiri. Amazing home cooked dishes. The appam with jaggery was beautifully done, deviled cuttlefish so fresh with large succulent vegetables and onions, lamb curry was excellent. However the vegetable lunch was the best ever! Final touch was the Sri Lankan tea- fab, service was fantastic. We were so happy we came here!

Sigri Restaurant is my go-to spot whenever I’m craving authentic Sri Lankan food. Every time I visit, I order the Hoppers, which include three regular ones and one egg hopper—my all-time favorite! I also love the string hoppers here. They taste amazing and are served with a small bowl of coconut curry and dried coconut chutney. This time, I decided to try the mixed fried rice, which was really good, along with a veg stew.

I have eaten during the pandemic. Takeouts. But nothing beats going and sitting there and eating hot appams and crab. They are beyond words. It is homely. It triggers thoughts of ur childhood. The owner is quiet friendly a d guides on what tastes best. The chef is a one. Food service is slow but worth the wait.
