This place was great. Great service. Excellent food. Large portions. We over ordered and took a ton home which was so good the next day. The pupusa revuelt and chorizo were my favorites. The spicy red sauce had just the right heat and the curtido was yum. No AC, so I was sweating like crazy, but that’s okay. It just added to the experience.

I took my family over to get some pupusas. They were really good. Great flavor, and lots of filling. My wife loves cheese and her pupusas had lots of it. The place was clean and the people were friendly. We loved it! We’ll definitely be back!

This little restaurant has a lot of potential. The building was an old gas station or shop that was turned into a restaurant, very creative! It has a cute patio for outside dining in the warm months. During the winter the inside of the building is quite chilly, it made waiting for warm food a bit difficult for me! I like pupusas and the menu has a variety of different types including vegetarian options and family sized pupusas. I ordered bean and cheese and pumpkin and cheese. Both were good.

Best tamales I’ve had EVER! I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while since i love love love tamales.
By the way there are two sides to their menu!
So I really loved the guatemalan tamales..nice and different from your typical (mexican tamale) and quite bigger and more moist. It’s wrapped in a banana leaf. A unique mixture of things on the inside. An olive, pork with bone in and I think that’s it.
The pork & chicken (mexican) tamales we’re so delicious and equally as fresh.
It all tastes SO authentic & freshly made.
I also tried their cheese pupusa and their bean papusa!! Absolutely incredible♡.
All orders I listed are Gluten freeeee For those GF folks out there.
Loved it all so much…and eager to come back and EXPLORE other dishes on their menu♡.

This place was a total disappointment for typical Salvadorean breakfast. I would give this place one star but I’m giving it 2 stars only because my husband had Pupusas and he said they were great. I am from El Salvador and wanted to have the huevos picados meal. The beans were pinto, too blended, almost like soup. The presentation was horrible. They didn’t give me avocado, which was included. They brought my food first and brought my husbands’ 15 minutes later. The worst were the platanos. Awful awful. I even asked them if the cook was Salvadorean because these platanos were so dried, very bad cooked, and almost burnt. If you want a really good Salvadorean breakfast go to El Salvador restaurant that is east of this one, always in center st. They do a better job with breakfast.

It was really great! We had the pupusas, of course, when we went. It’s right off of center Street, closer to the freeway. You might miss it if you drive too fast. Super cute place and felt very authentic. Felt like I was back in Ecuador, actually, so I imagine it was true to Salvador. We had the bean and cheese, spinach and cheese, and the chorizo pupusas. The chorizo was the best, with the spinach and cheese being the least favorite of the three, but still good. Will be coming again to try more of the menu!

So glad I tried this place. Really delicious food. The green sauce they gave us was really spicy and full of flavor. The waiter was really friendly. They give discounts to students and the food is already inexpensive.

Ordered five Papusas, said it would be done in ten minutes but took about twenty minutes. They did apologize for the inconvenience though.
The flavors were just okay, we got chicken, spinach, and beef. The chicken tasted the best, but still nothing to write home about. The filling was too little and the pickled veggies that came with it didn’t taste that great alone or with the Papusas.

I love Ricas! We’re lucky to have a few other Salvadoran restaurants in Provo. This one is my favorite for a quick stop. Pupusas are always warm and delicious. They’re shifting their focus to tamales now, and those are pretty good. I love the family atmosphere. Everyone who works here is amazingly nice, service is quick, and the place is cozy!
