Great, no-frills dive. Cash only, but there is an ATM, and the prices are so reasonable. Pool table is excellent, and you can play for free on Sundays. Ample dart boards. Fridays and Saturdays have either a live band (sometimes with line dancing!), karaoke, or dart league. Dani and Nick are awesome folks who always want you to feel welcome.

Cheap drinks, friendly staff and usually some good music. The crowd is mostly over 40 and/or alcoholics, so bring some friends if you’re younger or you’ll probably feel out of place.

Bad experience last night. The bar tenders were rude. People fighting all throughout the night. An intoxicated man threatened an innocent bystander with a gun for walking past the bar. Came to watch the band and NEVER returning!

We were up the street at the Laurel cafe and had recently met Nate from the Corn Cob Mojo band which was playing at the tavern. The atmosphere was friendly, but still a tavern, complete with pool table and dart boards. The bartender was pleasant and offered a taste of a beer we had never tried. The Mojo band was great, a rare combination of everything country, blues, rock a billy, Ahlman brothers and who knows whatever else. Definitely a great after dinner place to relax and enjoy some incredible music

It’s a dive bar a lots of old timers. If your a veteran or an old alcoholic. Come on in and enjoy the fish stories and lies you would expect at an old timers dive bar.
The owner and most of the employees are drunks and will give you a good time as you sit and waste you lie away.
This bar has been in the town for over 50 years. It’s a staple for the old town drunks.
They now have a cabaret license and offer live music.

THE LAUREL ROCKED LAST NIGHT!!!!!!
BLACK and BLUE brought the Rock generations together for a night of Classic Stones Favorites.

The house was packed and drink service was FAST and FRIENDLY!
It was great to see so many singing, dancing and shaking off the blues.
We’ll be back!

The Laurel has been a place I have frequented since 2011. Across from the Northport train station and in close proximity to the VA Medical Center, you will find my “Cheers” bar, a place where your fellow veterans know your name …and many civilian beer aficionados as well.
At the Laurel you have billiard tables and darts and this very low-key place gets very lively when tournaments are hosted.
Stop in for a beverage or three in this old bar that dates back to the founding days of East Northport. Many times I have come in from a cold, snowy night, my train is late, and my hands hurt from the biting cold. Some call it a dive bar. I call it a place that is kind of like home; a place that seems it will always be here when so many people and places in our lives just disappear. It is a refuge and my fellow veterans are willing refugees.
Come say hello to Barbara and the other amiable ladies who “man” the bar. Can I say “lady” the bar?
One last note: there is not a bar menu for that craving you get after the cold Heineken or Jack on the rocks. There is a deli next door for snacks and delicious and varied sandwiches. A convenience store is on the other side of Laurel’s door. Bring your food to the bar or sit at one of the tables. There is not a waiter to service patrons because it is not a restaurant as previously mentioned. You commute about ten feet to retrieve your refill. Crossroads is another option for a more “upscale” meal, and a few others that will provide nutritional support for your liquid libations program. Cheers! No, Laurel!!!
