I don’t get to come to Southport much nowadays but when I do it’s always a trip to Taj Mahal high on the agenda! Perfectly cooked rice in the Chicken tikka biryani accompanied by a sweet Massala sauce with a garlic chilli naan to accompany for that perfect sweet/spicy hit, then to wash it down with a cold pint of kingfisher! 10/10 as always

Warning. Warning ⚠️ ….Before you go in and risk your health just go around the back of the building and see where they actually cook the food. The filthy plastic box in the picture, next to the dirty mop and the bins is filled with hot bargees for the restaurant. And the pans are cooking curry sauce.

Absolutely fantastic food as always! Can’t fault any of their dishes. The lamb vindaloo being my favourite has always been perfectly juicy and tender with a generous meat quantity. Highly recommended.

The food was excelent cooked to perfection a great meal apart from one thing the only reason i gave it 3 stars was the fact i ordered chipati’s with my curry and their idea of a chipati is a wholemeal Mission wrap really dissapointed a lovely resturant great well cooked food and dumped with 2 of these insted of chipatis meal was brilliant £50.60 for pompadoms and dips + 2 starters +2 main meals and 1 nan , chips and these 2 crappy wraps identifiying as chipatis and they charged £1.75 each fir them and you can buy a pack of 8 for £1.80 unbelieveable a quality restraunt like this serves up crappy Mission wraps insted of chipats surely a chef as good as this guy seems to be judging by the food can make proper chipatis
