Blues Jamaican Restaurant is consistently excellent. The food is always amazing — full of flavor and clearly made with care. The craftsmanship really shows in every dish. Prices are great for the quality, and the customer service is top-tier. The gentlemen here always treat me like family, which makes the experience even better. Highly recommend.

Great service and location, but I wasn’t a fan of the food. The brown stewed chicken didn’t have much flavor, and frying the chicken before cooking it in the sauce made the texture and taste seem “off”. I tried ‍♂️, but I just didn’t like it. Also, the rice and peas didn’t have any flavor at all, and the rice tasted like they used a rice cooker. The absolute best part of my order was the plantains, spinach patty, chicken curry patty, and the Ting.

Have been searching for good, authentic Jamaican cuisine, since relocating from South Florida, last year. My family and I visited this place on recommendation from the medical assistant at my mother’s doctor’s office. Although I would have preferred salad, to steam vegetables they did not disappoint! We ordered the curry goat, jerk chicken, beef patty, curry chicken patty, and jerk chicken patty, as well as a couple of prepackaged comforts of home. Two of us could not wait to try the beef and curry chicken patties and ate them on out way home. We kept saying they reminded us of Charley’s Patties, in Lauderhill, Florida. Which is a GREAT compliment. The entrees were well seasoned and throughly enjoyed by my family. We are more than happy to make the drive for comforts of what we miss. What was even better than what we have experienced anywhere else…they are positive and friendly. They were patient and answered questions we had, to ensure we were at the correct place. 10/10

This place was near my son’s baseball practice facility and I was hungry. Reviews looked okay I did see some negative reviews however I decided to give them a chance. The place was very clean and since it was close to 6pm I did not see anyone sitting inside. They use a indoor flat grill for the jerk chicken so you will not get that charcoal/wood fire taste. As for the food this was more of a “grilled chicken” with “jerk” sauce on top. More like a bottled bbq sauce. Rice was bland but not dry. Cabbage tasted like frozen veggies cooked with no seasoning. Plantains were okay but not so ripe. Overall food was okay but for the price it’s not worth it. Maybe the other dishes are better. I have had better tasting jerk chicken at other locations for a better price. You try it and post a review to let others know what your experience was.

Honestly, there are not many solid Jamaican restaurants in north GA… but this place is 10/10. It has a hole-in-the-wall feel to it, and it’s not a place you really sit down at for some “fine dining” — but this is comfort food with FLAVOR. My husband and I got the oxtail, rice and peas, and beef patties. All of it was DELICIOUS, and the portion size was beyond plenty. This will be our new Jamaican spot!

Awesome choice. We ordered two plates 1. Oxtail with rice/peas and plantains. 2. Stew Chicken with rice/peas & plantains. On the side we had the coco bread and beef patty. (All Pictured) everything was delicious. I can’t even begin to recommend which both very good. Each plate was served with a helping of cabbage also. Look forward to our next trip .

Normally when I come here, I get my beef patty and coco bread and go on my way. This time I decided to try the jerk chicken and it was soooo good! If you want the spicy jerk, then this ain’t it. This jerk is more sweet and I like it. My chicken was juicy and flavorful. My plaintain were delicious. They gave me a lot of peas & rice, more than I needed. The veggies were good and I could’ve used more of that. I’ll be back to try the other dishes.
