We are a taqueria or tacos shop that offers fresh ingredient with a selection of traditional food. This includes Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Bowls, Nachos, and Ceviche. Best nachos ever! Me and a friend ordered the Chicken Nachos and wow, the chips were super crispy and absolutely loaded with chicken, cheese, guac, sour cream, beans, salsa… basically everything you’d want in nachos. One portion was more than enough for the two of us.
Washed it down with their on-tap lager which was top notch . We sat outside and loved the vibe, they even had heaters going so it was nice and cozy. Service could be a bit better I’d say but the food covers for it!!

Phenomenal fresh food, service and atmosphere! The patio and bar are perfect if bringing a fur friend. They have heaters for outdoor area or comfortable indoor seating. Highly recommend any of the tacos… my favorite dish though is the Mexican sashimi! Add a marg, glass of wine, or beer…perfect ending to any day!

As a San Diego native who has spent decades enjoying the region’s exceptional Mexican food, I was genuinely disappointed by my experience at Los Tacos in Carlsbad. During an eight day visit back home, this was the first restaurant I tried based on multiple online recommendations. Unfortunately, it proved to be the weakest dining experience of the entire trip.
Despite a moderate crowd, the restaurant appeared severely understaffed, resulting in an unacceptable 55 minute wait for a simple to go order. When the food finally arrived, it lacked seasoning, depth, and any of the vibrant flavors one expects from a reputable taco shop. The dishes were bland, overpriced, and ultimately not worth the time or money invested.
Having eaten at more than 40 Mexican restaurants and taco shops across San Diego County, I can confidently say this was the most disappointing. The combination of slow service, lackluster food, and poor value makes it difficult to understand the enthusiasm surrounding this establishment.
Los Tacos would benefit greatly from hiring additional staff and revisiting their recipes, starting with the basics, like proper seasoning. Until then, I cannot recommend this restaurant. There are countless better options in the area, and even national fast food chains deliver a more satisfying experience.

Amazing experience! Armando, the owner, personally attended us and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The tacos were excellent full of flavor and made just the way they should be, with fresh, hand-made tortillas. You can really taste the quality and care they put into their food. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

I have enjoyed eating at the other Los Tacos locations although this was my first visit to this new location in La Costa. The comfortable ambiance, the delicious food, and exceptional service exceeded my expectations. Armando was a gracious host and made me feel welcome. The carne asada burrito compared well to a steak sandwich wrapped in a tortilla and the salsa selection was amazing. Los Tacos offers authentic Mexican cuisine at affordable pricing. I highly recommend for anyone seeking a wonderful dining experience! Thank You.

I went to Los Tacos for the first time today and it was amazing! My family tried various kinds of shrimp and fish burritos and tacos and everything was so delicious. I tried the Baja fish taco, the Diabla shrimp taco and the Salmon al pastor taco and all were so good! The salsa bar had a variety of salsas and the chips were made to order so they came out warm. The quality of my previous favorite taco place went downhill and Los Tacos is now my new favorite!

I found this place on google and first read the reviews. I drove 45 min to get there and oh surprise the best tortas de carne asada, delicious, the asada tacos delicious, the fish tacos the same, all very tasty and super economical, the staff super friendly and attentive. Super recommended to go to eat in this place.
